T-Mobile gave out 5.99 credits for Vudu rentals, but that only covers SD quality for anything I want to see. Eff that.

It's great for the kids though. I'm always glad to get a Vudu or Fandango rental. It beats having to go to Redbox which is a 5-minute drive away.

A muscle(s) in my motherfuckin right arm are twitching and it's been going on for about two days now I think. It's the muscles kinda between the triceps and biceps, more-or-less on the side of my upper right arm.

A quick search shows that it's called "fasciculation" and can be due to mineral imbalance, stress, caffeine, dehydration, and others. I have at most 3-4 cups of coffee a day and don't have much stress. However I'm thinking it could be dehydration. I've been getting headaches for quite awhile (months) that I didn't know the cause of but then thought it was due to hunger/lack of food. While they seem to occur when I haven't eaten for a while, they're not quite exactly associated with food intake, that I can ascertain. So I'm thinking I'm not getting enough water. My pee is usually a pale shade of yellow though not strongly. Usually I drink about 34 fl oz of water a day; the rest comes from food. Maybe that's not enough. I'm gonna try and force myself to drink more but jeez, it's weird drinking when I'm not thirsty and have no desire to. Maybe for some people that's no biggie but I'll really have to force myself to do it and remember to.

Facebook Will Be Back Soon
Facebook is down for required maintenance right now, but you should be able to get back on within a few minutes. In the meantime, read more about why you're seeing this message. Thanks for your patience as we improve the site.

Oh man did FB actually go down? I have a feeling a lot of people's F5 keys must be worn out after that. :p
Yeah, for 20-30 minutes. I was getting totally blank webpages in Firefox. It's like FB didn't exist (except no 404s). Switching to IE finally got me that error message I posted. That's when I realized it wasn't an adblock issue on my end.

lol the counseling business would explode. The wife, a licensed therapist, already credits a lot of marital problems to FB.

Implode, you mean? For me, I blame IRC for my marital problem. Facebook may be a popular tool, but the real threat is basically online connectedness.

That's incredible. I keep my FB profile pretty low key and only friend family and close friends. My settings prohibit anyone from sending me a friend request unless you're on one of my friends list of friends.

Built a computer on May 6th. My Gigabyte motherboard had a $20 mail in rebate. Sent in the mail the paper work and bar code. Got an E-mail it was processed. It's been 5 fucking months and I haven't received shit! That also applies to the few bucks I'm suppose to get from Cooler Master. Lesson of the day: Don't buy into promo scams like these. I once saw a John Stossel episode about this very thing.

Just found out a local candy shop's closing. They've been in business since 1920, and in their current location since 1961. I was only in there once, but that's where my easter candy came from as a kid. I liked knowing they were there even if I didn't visit. Sorry to see them go.

The main computer (desktop) 27" flat screen monitor just went down for no reason. Just turned it on yesterday after work and the whole screen was just white with lines, no noise, no smoke, nothing. Turned it off and turned it back on several times but the same result.

Damn you HP. Broken right after the 1 year limit warranty. I purchased the darn thing in June of 2016.

Now I will have to file a claim with Citibank credit card warranty extension and have to use the 15" screen laptop until the new LG 27" monitor from NewEgg comes in. Whaaaaaaaaaaa <sad panda>

I had to deal with windows 10.

Seriously such a convoluted OS, and all the options are missing. Like I was trying to troubleshoot a mic issue, figured there would be something like Sound Recorder, but there is not even an "accessories" category in the start menu, there are NO categories, it's just a huge list. I find a recorder program but it's so ridiculously useless. It has a big record button, but it does not tell you anything. No spectrum, nothing. Basically I was trying to troubleshoot why the mic was not working. After some digging I found the recording devices setting, and the little graph was moving when I talked so I know the hardware was fine, yet it did not work in any programs. Then did some more digging and found that you have to give permission to each app, but not all of them were even listed. Some of the ones that didn't work were also enabled, so that didn't help. To troubleshoot better I installed Audacity, because at least it tells me more of what's going on such as showing sound wave spectrum. But that didn't work, and the app was not even listed in the permission thing anyway.

Overall a terrible experience, never figured out the issue. Seems half the programs in windows 10 are streamlined to the point of being useless, like there's no menu bar or anything. According to Google results it seems a lot of people have mic issues in Windows 10, but all the stuff it says to try is stuff I had already tried but it still didn't work. Gave up.

You probably did this already, but I've had similar problems when my DVI or HDMI cable comes loose. If you unplug the monitor, reseat the connections and plug it back in and still have the problem then it's probably the monitor. Although to be safe I'd also try a different video card that you know works.

Which playback device were you using? Did you set it to the default device?

Yeah default recording/playback. Pretty much tried everything. Enabled/disable mic boost, effects etc. Played with all the settings, nothing. In the mic properties it picks up sound but in applications it does not, it was also set to the proper mic in the programs I tried. Skype was one of the apps it did not work but since there was no menu bar I did not know how to get to the settings to check. But I presume if would be using default. In Audacity I tried Sound Mapper and Mic but both options did nothing. I figured if I could get it to work in Audacity given it's a familiar program I could rule out any other issue but it seemed to be global.

The person is just going to bring the PC to Futureshop. (don't have it in hand anymore)

I think you also have to set the playback device under the "listen" tab under properties but it should default to the default playback device and the option should be checked. But whatever, weird problem. I've never had any issues other than hardware, like when I was trying to record directly from a turntable with no pre-amp.

I have Cricket. $35/month and that's it. No bullshit attached. My sister has Verizon and I kept telling her to switch, but fell on deaf ears. I was able to convince my Bro to go Cricket.

I will never use Winblows 10. I have read countless issues about this and that, forced updates, privacy, you name it. Despite all that there are scores of people that always have to belittle you and say things like, "it has a smaller footprint, you should always use updates, updating is a no brainer", and all this hyperbole. No thanks. I'll stick with 7 for as long as I can.

I just seen that a new update causes a cycle of BSODs. LMAO! Do they not test these so-called "updates."

Been using Windows 10 for about two years now. The next problem I have with it will be the first. I really don't understand all the hate.

Actually I take that back I have one complaint. That program in your start menu that looks like it is installed but is actually a link to their store to buy it is annoying.

Yeah I can't imagine using that garbage as my main computer. Unfortunately it is starting to surface more and more now on computers that I do have to manage. They are also talking about it at my work. Not looking forward to that... we just finished upgrading to 7 and finally mostly everything works now.
