Went to the bank to get a roll of quarters for laundry. Got home and broke the wrapper open and they appear to be a brand new role of uncirculated 2017 quarters with Ozark National Park on the back. Now I feel bad using these shiny quarters and feeding them into the washing machine. :confused2:

I started collecting them for my daughter when they were state quarters. Then they switched to a shitload of other things, and I quit. I'm not collecting all that crap. I save all copper pennies, real silver, and interesting old designs I like. I don't have the inclination for anything new. Haven't seen a buffalo nickle in ages :^(

I'm pretty happy with my desktop background. I think it's from Russia...

but the aspen leaves on xdecorations don't look quite right; too yellow or something. I need to try to tweak the color. Bright side is the oak leaves look great. I need to put them on my work machine.

Still waiting for fall to come...

Kid broke his wrist yesterday. He was supposed to be scraping/painting my windows today. Damned layabout.

He only has one arm?! Tell him to get his ass out there, and use the one that still works. That's why he was issued two of them!

That's what I said. He said that he can't stand on a ladder without his arm. "WTH?," I say, "you're standing on your 2 feet." He says, "When we were doing our summer service project, the site leader always told us that we had to have 3 points of contact on the ladder at all times." Work it, kid, work it. Maybe I should push him towards being a politician.

What is up with Amazon Pantry. I'd say about one third of the items I previously ordered are out of stock. What's the point of a service like this if you can't keep sh** in stock? Normally I wouldn't care, I'd just go to the supermarket but they have, or should have, stuff that I can't get around here - stuff I really want. This happened last time I wanted to order too. It wasn't quite as bad, maybe 15% of the items were out but it included a couple of the main ones. I had to wait about a week for them to come back into stock and then I loaded up. I figured it was a fluke but it's just gotten worse.

Tie his waist to the ladder. Third point established.

Firefox has been so terrible. I pointed that out on Reddit and holy crap did I get hounded on lol. It's been an issue for like a decade but seems some people are still in denial.

If I was better at coding I would look at the source code and strip out anything useless and build a "lite" version and call it Firesquirrel. :p

Well, i just had an update a few days ago and firefox has improved. The slowdowns / freezes are a lot less and the slow downs/ freezes at the start when starting firefox are no longer annoying because of being so short.
Firefox 56.0 is the current version. :)

The music thread loads a lot faster as well.

My friend, with too much money and not enough sense, bought me a 55" TV for my tiny front room. It's just so BIG!

Our building has shared machines. Hardly anyone I know in Chicago has a washer or dryer in unit unless you are a home owner or can afford to rent new construction.

I had an upgrade rental car and it did not have a cruise control so I did have to use my right leg on the gas pedal for several hours and now my leg is tired.

Damn you Hertz. So much for Gold membership.
