Bread really is easy, and tastes great fresh. I used to work in a bakery, and by the time I quit, I didn't want any of our stuff... Except the bread. It also cured me of wanting to be a pastry chef :^D I haven't made any in a long time, but I should.

My Guinness is in an 11.2oz bottle. How did 330ml become a "standard"? It isn't an even anything. 333ml would be closer to 1/3L, and you get the awesome repeating numbers. Bright side is it's Irish made, and not Canadian as it's been for the last twenty years or so.

I've never been into Marshall's. What do you buy there?

The last time I was there, I bought a Speck hard case for my laptop, two pairs of tweezers, some spice mixes, organic grapeseed oil, raw honey, a furniture repair kit, three wick-away T-shirts, 16 pairs of socks, and an All-Clad stainless steel saute pan for 60% off of list price.

That's the thing. They have all sorts of weird stuff, and it's all cheap. And to think, some people just go there to buy clothes.

The thermostat at work only goes down to like 71F and it's that time of year where it's not quite warm enough to cause the AC to kick on often but also not cold enough that it just naturally stays cool in here, so the AC is running less and it's so warm in here. The thermostat has a rather wide dead zone so it will hit well over 71 before it does decide to start. I occasionally go trick the thermostat into thinking it's like 80 by covering the sensor with my thumb but it only runs for like 5-10 minutes.

Suppose another FWP is the fact that the thermostat is in Frenkenstein. This is Canada!

Get a bread making machine. They're pretty cheap and you can get small ones that make bite sized loaves. I'm exaggerating about the bite-sized part, but they're small enough that you're not going to have a lot of waste.

Everything happens in one small basket - the mixing, kneading and baking. Then you just pop the loaf out, cut and tuck in. There's no clean up since the basket should be non-stick. Just maybe wipe it down and put it back in the machine. It doesn't get any easier.

The only potential downside, assuming this bothers you, is that you're going to have a small void in the loaf where the paddle gets baked in. It never bothered me but I can see how it might throw you off if you're used to normal bakery loaves.

She'll probably toss it before she gets to the void.

Ah the memories. Got a bread making machine as a wedding present, fresh bread is a treat :) Of course, all that nice bread helped me gain the 10lbs I added in our first year of marriage :(

Yeah, bread is a soft, warm, buttery blanket of heaven until you step on the scale or try to shoehorn your crusty butt into last season's pants. Then you see it for evil succubus that it really is.

I was sitting on my front porch reading and the chrome on my Mercedes on my driveway was reflecting the sun in my eyes.

That's nothing. I was getting down with one of my babes in my yacht when all of a sudden I remembered I parallel parked my Shelby convertible before leaving the dock. On top of that I forgot to pack condoms.

Is bread flour different from regular flour?

Looked last night and the only thing that I have that even looks like a loaf is a pyrex dish. Might have to swing by Target.
Yes, bread flour is different but, ap works just fine. You can also just make buns or round loaves without a pan.

My in-flight wifi disconnects from my VPN every hour or so and it's annoying.

Is this first world enough?

I'm bored. It's hot outside, and doesn't feel like fall. I want to go to the woods, but not while the weather's shitty. I'm perusing the website of my snuff purveyor, and a lot of favorites are missing. I hope it's temporary, but hard to tell. I ordered an end of times stash last year, so I'm good for... life probably, but I hate seeing things die to to government meddling. Everything sucks, and I don't like it :^(

And also dry quickly. So you can trudge all the streams you want.

Oh. I don't care about getting wet. If it were 55 and drizzling(otherwise known as a glorious fall day), I'd be off to the sticks. It's almost 80 and humid now(otherwise known as utter bullshit), and I have zero interest in being outside. That's like work.

I hope this year isn't a repeat of last, where summer lasts forever and winter is non existent. One of these days I'm gonna load the kitties in a wagon, and start walking north til everything looks right.

Fuckin' Trump and his stupid coal bullshit, and all the climate change denying fuckwits. I'd give anything for 10 minutes in a mma ring with him(Only because ........ ... ...... ... .... .... .. ... .. is blatantly illegal)
