What an open marriage taught one man about feminism

I read most of the article, what a load of tripe. I thought it was an onion-esque sarcastic piece and was waiting for the punchline, but apparently the guy really is that stupid. Yeesh what an idiot.

As I write this, my children are asleep in their room, Loretta Lynn is on the stereo, and my wife is out on a date with a man named Paulo. He doesn't seem to derive much pleasure at being told about her exploits, so more likely he just feels humiliation at being unemployed/stay-at-home dad and has an associated desire to be degraded. Allowing his wife to do this, and subsequently writing a news article about it accomplishes that degrading twice. Sucks for his kids that he's doing it in such a public fashion and they'll be forever linked to it when they're completely innocent bystanders.

That's also a bunch of crap, I'm willing to bet. I'm pretty sure I've said it myself once or twice, and even if I'm remembering incorrectly, I'd certainly say it to a woman if I'm in a situation where it comes up in conversation. There's gotta be others like me in this, too.

The dude in the article is an idiot, but marriage by its very traditional virtues *is* "limiting sexuality", you just found someone who's okay with it like you are, nothing wrong with that.

This woman just found a guy who let her have her cake and eat it too. I'm no feminist, but good for her. As long as she doesn't cry foul when other capable men take the same approach, all is well.
