i am not sure what they did in store but online their sold out bundle is over $1,400! but almost everyone sold it as a bundle. The store I worked at didn't have to take back anything without a receipt...its completely up to the manager on call.

see he didn't even put it that way, he wasn't even polite, he didn't try and explain anything, he walked up with an attitude after we waited patiently for 20 mins on him, said he wouldn't take it, when i asked him why not he was sug about it and said they were "high ticket" items and he wouldn't take it, when i started asking him about their policy etc is when he said he would take 1 and only 1 game back but it was "his call and no one else's."

The reason places like walmart take back items without a receipt is to keep customers, because it is common practice at almost every store in the US (like kmart, target, etc, all their rivals), and because people do lose the receipt. You don't want to screw a customer cuz they lost the receipt. You don't walk away happy though just cuz you are a customer which is why they won't just give you cash anymore or credit your card (even costco only gives store credit or amex credit if you do not have a receipt which changed a year ago) so it wasn't like we wanted cash, we wanted the damn credit/exchange

Seriously thought...how old are you and your friend? Stored often won't go out of their way for young customers because they often don't spend much, aren't loyal to one store, and have a higher risk of trying to take advantage of a store. Not saying this is what you were doing but age may play a factor here.

I am 24 he is 22, and we spend a ****** ton of money at that store. Between the 2 of us we have spent over $2k there in the last week alone. The return girl who caleld for the manager even knows us! she sees us all the time (not in the return line lol)
i know what you mean though because if it was my mom standing in line to return them they would have taken them back. Growing up my sis and i would always make our mom return things for us even with a receipt (cuz we feel stupid returning crap) but at my age i shouldn't have to get my mom to do it.

Return Policy

Everything in the store can be exchanged or refunded with a receipt within 90 days of purchase... with the exception of a few electronic items and regulated items.

I remember receiving a second copy of Super Mario 3 from a friend of my mom's for christmas one year. I had no receipt at all, but I took it to walmart and exchanged it for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II

Why didn't your friend keep the receipt, op? For a purchase like that you should stash the bag with the receipt in it for a while.

that's what he did because he purchased mroe than just the 3 games at once but he cna't find the bag lol. when he couldn't fidn it he didn't worry about it knowing we have returned things before witout a problem and we were liek yeah we will be ok so he picked me upa nd we went. didn't go as planned or how it normally goes

They have NO obligation to allow you to return ANYTHING without a receipt. When they do, it's just a customer courtesy. VERY FEW places will allow returns without reciepts.

Do you know how many people come in and out of that store on a daily basis? Do huge bells and whistles go off everytime you make a purchase, alerting everyone in the store that Billy has bought something at Walmart? Becuase this is the only way I would beleive that the returns lady "noticed" that you were there, let alone know how much you spent.

wtf is your problem? haven't been laid in a while? he bought 11 PS3 games, a tent, portable dvd player, i bought a wii, 5 games, extra controller, nunchuk, and classic controller. Not to mention all the snacks and crap we buy. And for your information i do know the lady, her name is Armine. I returned something 2 years ago and she found out my name and was suprised i am armenian (cuz i dun look it) and she is aswell. She is in her 40's and has 3 kids. If she is working i say hi, or bye to her everytime i shop there. Don't you go anywhere so much that they know you? a restauruant? store? how about your bank? does your teller know you and say hi? or are you this much of an ass in person that no one cares.

You are comparing a bank to Walmart??? Be serious. Think about how big a walmart is and how many people go in and out of there daily. Then think the same about a bank.
