Do you have any other reports of these problems with this driver.
At thise stage none that I'm aware of.

I cant add it unless more than a few people have it.
I'm not really concerned if you add it or not, I'm simply giving people a heads-up based on my experiences.

What exactly do the omega drivers do? Cuz I'm getting a problem with my radeon 9700 pro aiw cuz it displays fuzzy horizontal lines on my monitor (and I've tried everything). Would the omega driver possibly help it display better?

Omega drivers are a chopped up version of the retail drivers. They are unlikely to help your issue but if you've tried everything else by all means, try them.

What exactly do u mean by "chopped" up?

I have heard reports both ways.

Other drivers also support them so there shouldn't be much of a gain. THe only thing that the VPU is waiting on is for Microsoft to release the new dll's for wmp10 which enable hardware WMV HD support.

Anyone recommend the best 6800GT drivers?

I just picked up a BFG6800GTOC and was wondering what you folks recommend...that and I'm too lazy right now to go through the thread 😉

VXG 71.20 drivers are the best for some us by far. Go try them and report back 😉 You can find them in guru3d.com

9036 3DMark03, CPU Score: 522 lol

This is just an add on to my Dell machine until I can buy more parts to put together the 3200+ system 🙂

71.24 btw 🙂

Thought you might like to know... the 71.20 drivers don't render PS2.0 effects properly. I noticed it playing CSS on de_aztec... the grass down by the water is WAY too shiny... looks like it's glass, or covered in ice.

The 71.24 drivers do the same..I thought it was because of the rain but I guess not?

hey, guru3d's got the new 71.80 drivers. They are quadro drivers, but they support the whole GF6 line. Also, if fixes the damn yellow water HL2 bug that has been plaguing us since the 71.xx drivers were released, so it's worth upgrading just for that. Also, HL2 seemed a bit smoother at 1280x1024 4xAA/8xAF, but it could just be wishful thinking on my part.

Yeah saw them while i was at school, and was too lazy to update the thread. Hopefully THUGS will have benches up shortly 🙂

Will update tomorrow though as AP English and Adv. Chemistry Exams are tomorrow, and i need to study as much as possible.
