No, I am more or less a full-time trial lawyer. I do a lot of various business litigation but also a lot of public-sector work, including government employment arbitrations and representing the transit authority and its police department in personal injury and civil rights cases. We also do various plaintiff's work - one of my partners is the best condemnation attorney in the state. In a small firm like mine you end up doing all kinds of things, which keeps it interesting.

Huh. I work in what I would have thought was a comparably-priced market and bill at $300-340/hour, depending on the nature of the case. I am not nearly as experienced as those guys (I have 14 years in practice).

Doubt they are getting paid at all.
