Then do tell; why didn't they place him in jail?
Again, you can bury your head in the sand if you want. Yes, technically he is not in jail, doesn't make him any less corrupt, and that's just talking about his businesses not his attempted coup.

And as mentioned by others, every sane person knew he was going to be corrupt (as he has been for decades at least) but he tapped into the primal feels of some people and got elected. Funnily enough he'd be in less legal trouble if he had just stuck to his normal grifting instead of trying to run the country like one of his businesses.

HAAAAY, I live in Riverside. I think I'll go to this get together tomorrow so I can observe his klan up close and personal. So Cal's mostly Democrats, so I'll see 1 random MAGA hat scraggler here and there. Will probably be something else to see them all gathered up close and mingling. Hopefully, they get riled up enough to where the police will have to use some sort of less lethal force on them. I've never actually seen someone get shot with rubber bullets or bean bag rounds or whatever law enforcement uses out here.

And Riverside having an FBI HQ is news to me. If this is even accurate, as I don't know how much faith I'd put in a Trumper actually knowing what they're talking about.

OJ didn't kill Ron and Nicole.
Colin Kaepernick didn't disrespect the flag.
Hillary didn't conspire with Russia to frame Trump and his campaign.
Eric Garner didn't illegally sell cigarettes.
Michael Brown didn't steal cigarettes.
Tamir Rice didn't threaten people with a gun.
George Floyd didn't pass bogus money.
George Soros doesn't fund ANTIFA.
January 6 wasn't an ANTIFA false flag.
Barack Obama didn't present a fake Hawaiian birth certificate.
Hillary Clinton wasn't negligent in handling Benghazi.
Hunter Biden isn't a puppet for Ukraine.
The 2020 election wasn't stolen.

Wow, when you use the "No conviction = not true" standard it seems like the conservative viewpoint is pretty much all lies.

Paul Manafort is a convicted felon.
Michael Cohen is a convicted felon.
Roger Stone is a convicted felon.
Steve Bannon is a convicted contemptible.
Donald Trump Jr. is an "admitted in court" fraudster.
Ivanka Trump is an "admitted in court" fraudster.
Erik Trump is an "admitted in court" fraudster.
Donald Trump is an "admitted in court" fraudster.

And likewise if you use the "conviction = true" standard that viewpoint doesn't hold up very well either.

What motivates conservatives more than liberals is fear, fear that everything phony they cling to as a substitute for real self respect will be stolen from them leaving behind only their deeply repressed feelings of necked shame and guilt. Throw in a ruthless psychopath with no moral boundaries and you will have the Trump cult, Stockholm robotic victims who quake at the fear of his displeasure and gladly abase themselves on command.

I suspect if we looked back at Clinton email threads you would find plenty of conservatives willing to say she was guilty despite no indictment or conviction. Interestingly enough Congress changed this offense from a misdemeanor to a felony after her email ‘scandal’.

That being said I wouldn’t suggest DOJ indict Trump if all it’s for is document retention. I doubt it is though.

My guess is the documents they were looking for were for Trump's own protection. Compromising highly classified documents used as a personal insurance policy or collateral.

I am basing this opinion on what the media has already reported. The problem with the media. They never say why a former President would hold onto highly classified documents.

HAHAHAHA, it'll just be a bunch of MAGA's from Temecula/Murrieta with some San Bernardino cultists thrown in as well.

He will just lie and say his lawyers told him not to release it.

But to be fair, it will be because his lawyers told him nobody would understand the documents because they're far too complicated. This is exactly why to this day he still hasn't released his taxes. None of us peons would be able to understand what we're reading.

Don't forget Fontucky, I mean Fontana.

I'm really hoping this search and seizure has a stench trail that leads to more indictments and arrests of Trump's lackeys, especially the ones who've been previously pardoned by him. Every one of them need to answer for the crime of aiding and abetting Trump's too-long-to-list acts of malfeasance against The People.

Looking back at his history of being the contemptable spoiled brat con man that never grew up and how he, through the years of his presidency managed to, among those so many other unconstitutional, unethical and immoral acts he committed, purposefully alienated the nation from our long-time allies that directly benefitted Putin's efforts to seize and consume the nations around him, it all comes down to ending his and his party's efforts to turn America into another despotic nation that they and the ultra-wealthy of America have been longing for.

You wouldn't kick over this big a hornets nest just for that. Comey was correct that such prosecutions are not usually undertaken. Garland didn't ok an FBI raid on MAL just for that, something related must be up.
Maybe somebody tried to sell something.

I think he dared the Justice Department to. Look at it from the Justice Department's stance, if a President decides to take TOP Secret documents, while breaking the law, and refuses to return them even after you ask for them (it's been 18 months), what would you have them do? The way the documents were described, they were SUPER DUPER Top Secret. I think we're minimizing the type of TOP Secret documents he could have had (Names locations of agents, locations of secret weapons, quid pro quo agreements with foreign countries, etc. etc.).

I never understand this 'require a court conviction' thing except as an attempt to avoid uncomfortable conversations. It also is a way to avoid realities that we would prefer not to accept. The standard for the state snatching you up and taking away your life or liberty is rightly considerably higher than the standard normal people use when deciding if someone committed a crime or not.

Like... OJ was never convicted of murder but everyone knows he did it. Are we supposed to pretend he didn't just because he was acquitted? Of course not.
The same people have no problem calling Hillary corrupt. It's all bullshit deflection.

Fox wants to make this political, this isn’t political. Fox wants answers, Fox won’t get answers nor deserves answers because this is not political. THE LAW does its thing and doesn’t care about the need to inform other than informing those involved.
The way Fox and others loyal to Trump look at this, they only see politics. Again, this is not politics. Answers could take months, certainly weeks, because this is not politics this is the justice department. Fox just can not understand this where they look at everything as political. And apparently so does Donald Trump.

My question is…. Does this mean Trump will resign?:p

If Fox wants answers then next interview ask for Trump to show them the warrant.

If the contents were nonconsequential Trump would have already released it.
