I voted for Bernie in the primary, bro, and have told you as much on at least one occasion. By the way, your assertion that Bernie would have won despite not even being able to win the Democratic primary is pure fantasy. All the polling you want to lean on would have gone out the window once the conservative media slime machine directed their venom at him.

I suppose they could have used Whitewater. No. Bengazi!!! Na. Let's see what series of scandals was Bernie involved it? Oh, none.

Bernie would have had mud slung at him, no kidding but they'd have to invent new material to erode the significant lead Bernie went in with.

In the end I voted for my dog as you know because I had no impact on the election anyway. It's not like NY was going to Trump because of me. My dog is a better person too.

Serious question. What the fuck did any liberal ever really do to you?

I live in a city run by liberals. The corruption here is epic, the entrenched groups of the liberals here are mother fuckers. I could go on.

But it’s not just that. I had been turning away from the left since a long time ago, as I had more and more real world experience and not just the book knowledge I had before. As I begin to saw human nature, how people are, and how left instead of helping makes things worse for everybody

A better person because of two non-scandals that were really just conspiracy theories?

Oh my bad, you don't hate her, you just have a completely irrational disliking of her dating all the way back to the first time bill was in office. Gee, wasn't that during the time when Hillary didn't know her role? Dumb bitch belongs in the kitchen, am I right?

I'm not asking you to like Hillary, I'm asking you to acknowledge your irrationality.

I get why you don't like Hillary from a policy position, you are an idealist and she's pragmatic. But most of your "dislike", as displayed on this forum, almost always comes from personality judgements. Not only that but its judgements of personally traits that have zero impact on the job or that will affect your life in the slightest aka irrational. Its akin to those who liked Bush because he was a guy you could have a beer with.

Actually the Clintons tried to buy property from my family in Arkansas. I have been acquainted with them in some form or another since the late '70s and I am familiar with their dealings at more levels that you know. Bill? I could have a beer with him but I'd count my fingers afterwards. My opinion of him? He made a decent President notwithstanding.

How naïve you are. You think the party that turned a military tragedy into a scandal for four years couldn't create something to combat Bernie?

Shit, we almost had white water all over again.

Sure, I totally believe it. You are the original white water story, right?

Don't forget buttery males! Notice a trend there? All three of those were scandals fabricated out of smoke and mirrors. I'm sure Bernie the self-admitted socialist would have been immune to swift-boating though. It's not like he wrote a rape fantasy story or people from his campaign deliberately stole data from the Hillary campaign.

I would have taken my chances with Bernie's wife than what the Reps already had with Hillary. But that means I hate Hillary, so there's that I guess.

Anyway, this discussion has been going on for more than a year and it's not changing.

No, my uncle was a farmer. My entire mother's side of the family is from there. As far as what you believe? That's up to you and you'll just have to deal with it.

Ugh, tell me you aren't basing everything off a real estate deal. Everyone is an asshole when it comes to real estate. If you aren't an asshole you are going to get fucked.

Yep, you gambled and you came up with Trump. Congrats. Brilliant reasoning skills!

And just so we are clear. The fact that you voted for Bernie because you felt your vote didn't matter because of where you live isn't the issue, its the fact that your overall opinion and narrative had an impact on those whose voted 'not for Hillary' (I'm speaking in general of people like you and their sphere of influence).

So you own trumps presidency.

This forum has always leaned more towards the left, and nothing wrong with that. But I seem to remember that there used to be a much more robust presence of right leaning people. I am not talking just the usual right wingers - who are just as tiring to listen to as their left wing counterparts, both parroting the party lines ad nauseam.

If I remember correctly, there used to be some libertarian types here. And/or other people with more varied, and nuanced views. But now frankly, to use a crude term, it seems like a liberal circle jerk. Or is my memory playing tricks with me?
That is the Trump effect is it not? Divide and conquer? Instead of healing mending and bringing ppl together he divides even more so. The right leaning folk we have here is either in full Trump mode or working overtime to find an excuse for Trumps behavior or why the next cnn piece is journalistic garbage... I read an article the other day, can conservatism survive trump and the alt-right.. Where are the journalistic pieces the takes distance from Trump but maintains a right leaning perspective? Far apart are they not? Trump is holding the GOP hostage, if they dont comply he will branch out with a splinter party and roll his own with his base... rip gop. I guess the GOP needs him in jail more so than anybody. So with nothing but alt right wing nutjobs its easy to rally around a left leaning point of reference that still makes sense and is grounded in reality

The corruption from the liberals is ridiculous. They ruin peoples lives and don't even care about the harm they cause.

Well. It's seems to be the same old P&N after all. lol.

It sure looks the same to me. We have the same "liberals" posting and we still have our influx of new and old right wing posters. We still have all those that hate progressives and right wingers alike and their high horse sitting 'both siders'.

The only thing that's changed is the quality of the discussion and that's barely changed, people are still denying facts and still spouting substance free talking points. Sure there seems to be more low quality discussions but I think that's due to the overall low quality policies and positions our elected officials have taken.

So democrats pick the candidate that was light years ahead of Sanders in being maligned and slandered by the right instead of somebody they only had months to work over. Pardon me but that is such a dumb argument to make that it looks just like conservative rationalizing. Let’s run this vacuum bag that’s full of dirt that’s been picked up over decades instead of this near pristine one because it will fill up in a minute. Think, there is smearing and then there’s the time it takes for achieve effectiveness.
