News is all over the place with speculation etc.

It seems from what I heard a few minutes ago was he was a Systems technician and should not have had authorized access to the top secret information that he distributed.

He looked as I expected doing his walk backwards in his red running shorts. I hope they give him a Court Martial and don't turn him over to civilian authorities.

All you self hating liberals, kicked in the face all your lives by the sad sacks trapped in the delusion of 'manly men' do is offer contempt and hate. In this way you make the mirror image of them. Self haters go crazy thinking somebody might care about somebody worse off than they are.
Every accusation is a confession, no?

The author of the piece mentions Peterson, of course, because he has similarly identified the problems Incels face. Naturally, because you came into the reading the link with pre-existing opinions obtained not from any close or analytical reading of Peterson himself on your part but based on the ignorance of others who aren't capable of analytical thinking, you assume that Peterson is loved by Incels because he is on their side. He is anything but. His efforts are directed to turning Incels into men, not by calling them monsters but by first showing sympathy and real understanding of their suffering. What causes you to assume that they have not done any close or analytical reading of Peterson?

YOU mentioned Peterson, and posted the link. I'm tired of your nonsense, I guess I'll finally heed good advice and put you on my ignore list as people wiser than you have suggested. I don't hate myself, I'm actually pretty great, don't involve me in your wretched little fantasy world. And please try to pull yourself out of your own arse and stop projecting your own problems on everyone else.

Former head of cybersecurity Chris Krebs is speculating as a system technician, he’d have access to SCIFs. So he may have snooped through burn bags to stuff the documents in his pocket.

Edit stupid congress critters. They are saying how poorly the FBI handled this. Like how did a NYT reporter make it to the suspect this morning. Hey idiot, they have surveillance teams on his place and this parents for the past 2 days. If anything the reporter compromised the investigation. He tipped off the guy so he didn’t goto the airbase this morning.

I guess one question on everyone’s mind right now—how does a 20-21 year old pass the necessary background check for Top Secret clearance?? Did they interview his high school guidance counselor?? How is it possible to clear someone so young??
I had one (Top Secret with access to special intelligence) at 18 years old (Army), and, yes, I later found out the FBI had agents crawling all over Augusta, where I grew up. Interviewed everyone I knew. Every. One.

I've been interviewed more than once for a friend's clearance renewals. That's always "fun".

Yes. To accuse is your blame. Liberals like myself who harbor hatred of deplorables are r projecting their own self hate. I am guilty of this. I want to blame to punish for the pain I have experienced, but I want to blame people for negative emotions they unload on others to get even with them.

However, I know they are as helpless to rid themselves of self hate as I am. I have nobody I can justifiably hate or blame for my pain because I have not faced all of it. But I know that is the reason so I don’t self justify my hatred on the idea people deserve it. What they deserve is find the joy of being that once lived in that house of hate.

The person I addresses mentioned lobsters. It’s a cheap shot that Peterson probably deserves but deals with hierarchies that do not bear on this subject matter of caring.

Right wing twitter acting as if this leak proves we have boots on the ground in Ukraine, casualty numbers much worse, etc.

What am I missing? From what I've read, it was mainly about spying on our allies and that the Ukrainian spring offensive looks like it will be unsuccessful.

I hope they treat him like Trump. Not sure why he was arrested before Trump was. Not sure why he was arrested at all. Seems classified info isn't a big deal anymore.

^^^ A racist, gun-slobbering, gamergate twerp . . . who gave away classified material in order to feel large to a collection of twerps. Sweet Jebus, have we come to this?
Gamergate, what, was he 10 at the time?
Don't think that one counts.

Think we're dealing with a psycho who should have NEVER made it past screening, but our security procedures around extremely sensitive material appears to have faded as much as a vaunted Soviet Army. The whole unit clearly lacks the protocols to do its job.

Oops...:

From a NY Times treatment currently:
He rooted for the N.B.A.’s Boston Celtics, enjoyed riding all-terrain vehicles and loved his family’s two dogs.
Are they already hoping to strum your heart strings to forgive this guy? He loves the Celtics and his family dogs? How can you hate him? WTF

He could easily face life in prison if he leaked a lot of documents.

Garland’s description indicates that Teixeira will be facing charges under 18 U.S.C. 793, also known as the Espionage Act. It criminalizes the unauthorized removal, retention, and transmission of closely held documents related to the national defense that could be used to harm the United States or aid a foreign adversary. Each such document would be its own charge; a conviction carries a penalty of up to ten years in prison per count.
