Yeah. If that isn't the name this thread title will be somewhat awkward.

I am stupidly excited for the announcement. I hope its better than Sony.

I am looking forward to it. I know they won't show a ton of games since they are saving them for E3, but I hope that they show more than just FIFA and COD.

I have a feeling we will see more than just FIFA and COD. Though, I hope that it isn't just limited to Kinect based items.

There will have to be a game from each type of major genre. Showing off how Kinect 2 and whatever else they are incorporating will work into their new games.

I am hoping for blu-ray, 1tb HDD, and controller / fightstick from Xbox 360 compatibility. I'd hate to give up my SF x Sanrio fightstick.

Hmm hopefully IGN will be hosting their stream on YouTube again so I can watch it. I saw that Twitch will have a stream up as well, so that ought to work well enough with my phone.

Aren't fight sticks modular enough that at worst you just need to replace the logic board and maybe the plug? Although, if Microsoft messes around with the extraneous buttons (I doubt they'll mess around with the usual dual analog + d-pad + 4 buttons + 2 bumpers + 2 triggers), that may cause a problem.

A 500G HD seems more probable to me, but perhaps they will surprise me.

If the rumor that you have to install games to the hard drive, 1TB would certainly be nicer. Although, I could see a larger storage capacity if they'd be willing to go bulkier with a 3.5" HDD like they did with the original XBOX.

i mean technically, yes, you can open a controller and solder it to the arcade buttons and it will work. but it is a hassle to do, and a lot of people don't have the skills to do so and instead spent $150 on the ones that are already made. my sticks work on ps3 and xbox360, i just have to flip a switch.

it would be much nicer if i could just plug it in, put it in xbox360 mode, and it works, rather than gutting another controller and trying to wire it all up. i'd probably end up just making a new one though if that is the case. so i too hope that usb 360 controllers work, although i fully expect them NOT to.

personally, i think 1tb is WWWAAAYYYY overkill for the hard drive. but that is probably because i've had no issues with my 20gb 360 and never really cared for much more hdd space. i'm not sure how often i would install a game to the hdd if i had a choice to do so. i only did it for one game on 360 (although, that is all i really can fit lol), but i only did it "just because" and because ssf4ae i was playing pretty much daily.

i'd much rather pay like $50 or $100 less for a console that has a smaller hdd than that.

It will all depend on how they handle installing games next gen. I also think that 1 tb would be overkill at first, but if they want you to do movies and tv shows along with gaming, you can use up space pretty quickly. Hell, I probably have almost 20 gbs of just arcade games on my HD.

If they want this to be an all-in-one media machine, a small HDD won't cut it. Especially, with the 50gb discs rumor and cable box connectivity. I don't understand how they could get away with 500gb. That is what 10 games plus the OS and maybe a movie?

I wonder if it will be a removable hard drive. It could come with a 500GB drive or 1TB with the option to expand it later? If they are planning to keep this generation alive for as long as the 360 was it would have to be modular or expandable.

true, if the nextbox can be a set top box for cable providers and has dvr capabilities, than yeah the hdd does need to be big. didn't really think about that.
