Less than two weeks until the reveal. I am hoping it isn't super long like the PS4 reveal. Just give us an hour of good stuff and leave the rest for E3. I doubt they will get too much into a bunch of games. Show of Call of Duty, maybe some teasers for a couple new exclusive IP's, and then show a sizzle reel of some already announced games like Watch Dogs, BF4, and Black Flag.

Yeah. I missed the PS4 reveal and couldn't bring myself to go back and watch 3 hours or so of footage. I just had to look for a write up on it.

Short, sweet, to the point, then let IW take the floor and reveal CoD, come back out and show off any new features CoD will be implementing and then a teaser reel of upcoming games. Done!

Don't get me wrong, they showed some cool stuff at the reveal, but they really bogged down when the one guy came out and talked about polygons and showed a head on the screen, then they showed the idiots from Media Molecule making some puppets dance with the move and do a knock off of the horrible Wii presentation from a few years back when they all "played instruments" on stage using the Wii motes. But I am not too worried about this reveal, MS knows how to put on a good show.

Yeah, let Balmer scream "Developers! Developer! Developers!" I actually met him at a conference once. He is pretty intense.

kind of surprised there haven't been anymore leaks or anything. 1 more week and we find out what this thing is all about.

Well, Xbox360 just got a dedicated Twitch viewing App. I can only imagine there will be a dedicated streaming app on the NextBox now. Makes perfect sense. In order to stream console games, you need a capture device of some sort AND a PC. That is a huge price of entry for most people.

Spike might only be showing the "meat" of the reveal. I am sure there will be some build up not shown and a press Q&A after. At least, I hope. But I can't complain about just a 1 hour reveal. "Here is all the features and a brief demo of the major ones. Here is CoD: Ghosts playing on the new Xbox and these are the new features. Fuck Sony!" *drops mic* Best reveal ever.

Is it as bad as the iOS Twitch app is now? They had the gall to remove the ability to search for streams, and now you can only view the top streams! :| I've had to search for specific streams in the past with the app because I guess they weren't cool enough to be premiered on Twitch.

I have no idea. I haven't used it. I just read the headline about it on Engadget.

So, I actually read the headline and it looks like it will only offer the top 300 channels? But the screen shot shows different games. I hope it is top 300 per game.

I just don't know when I will use twitch. Why would I want to watch some people playing a game when I can just play something myself? I am also hoping that they just hit the right points on the reveal. I know it will have entertainment. I know it will force Kinect. But I just want to see some cool stuff to get people excited.

Yeah they are. I am also going to try to catch a little of IGN's preshow and a little of it's post show too. Then I will probably spend all afternoon on a couple sites when I am back at work.

Can someone post the time? I will try and watch this if I am not at work. I might try and find a stream of it to listen if I am at work though. Worst case, I will follow a live update on Engadget or something.

It'll have to blow me away to keep me from buying a PS4. Since they are both pretty similar hardware wise, ports should be similar so no advantage there. Sony exclusives win me over as they've been better than Xbox's this past generation. I will eventually own both but we will see tomorrow which one I buy first.

Less than 24 hours! I am ready to see what it will be like. I am the exact opposite of zerocool. While the exclusives looked great on PS3, they just never really pulled me in and I just don't get excited when it comes to gaming on the PS3 anymore. It would take a monumental screw up from MS to actually make me want a PS4 first next gen.

I'm with zerocool84 on this one, Sony has better first party titles and hardly any third party developers make exclusives games anymore.

I will end up with both but I am probably going to get the PS4 first but that can change within the next few months.

From what I've read about the leaks, the NextBox is running a version of Windows 8. That means, some clever hackers MIGHT be able to load a full version of Windows on it. I know MS was working on Windows 98 for the Dreamcast (which was running Windows CE basically, their embedded version of Windows).

The one thing I'm really not excited about is Kinect. It sucked when I tried it at a friends house. You basically had to have the room set up just for Kinect and it still didn't work great. I'm sure they will improve on it but I'm definitely not looking forward to it.

I actually have no intention of using Kinect. I know it will be included, but it will just sit there collecting dust unless they do something amazing with it.

The biggest problem that I have with Kinect is lighting. I prefer to use my dimmer lights that are to the side at night, but Kinect just doesn't work with them on. It pretty much requires my overhead lights.

I sit way too close to my TV to use a Kinect. But I did have a friend who did some stuff with it hacked on his PC. It was pretty cool from a technology perspective. Other than that, I have no intentions of playing any Kinect game. If I want to flail around like an idiot, I'll do Insanity or Pilates. >_>

If the Kinect gets used at all, it would most likely be by the kids. They would probably enjoy that kind of stuff. But having kinect bundeled in with the next xbox isn't going to make me not buy it.
