PS4 bundles are available on walmart's website. They aren't day one bundles, but they are being delivered before Christmas.

Look what I got in the mail today... :)

Does the console come with one wireless DS4 controller? Nobody answered my question above and I searched around, but could not find exactly what comes in the box with the console.

You get the ps4, an hdmi cable, one ds4 controller wireless, one charging cable, a mono Mic, power cable. Probably some other documentation.

Debating if I need another controller or not. Made it many many years without an extra on the PS3 but I did get two move controllers.

But alas, the controller itself does not come with a charging cable.

How are we to charge it then? If the ps3 cable fits I can use that, I have plenty of those mini usb cables.

They probably figure you will use the one that comes with the system. I think he meant it doesn't come with a DS4 purchase.

Yeah but one for two controllers makes no sense. They should totally include one when you buy a separate controller.

Oh ok it's probably compatible with mini usb cables that you can get for the android phones.

Weird..got an email from best buy that my cod ghosts digital theme for ps3 is ready to be downloaded. I don't remember purchasing cod ghosts for ps3. I reserved it for ps4.

Chances of you needing to charge both at the same time is really low. I've never had that problem.

And if you forget to charge the 2nd one and need 2 players, the 2nd can play while on the cable.

You may have said PS4, but that doesn't mean the highly intelligent, over qualified Best Buy employee marked it as such.

Yea god only knows. I have the receipts in the car i am pretty sure that it says ps4 on the pre-order. Unless they are just giving that out to everyone that pre ordered a copy.

Kinda lame, but they let you swap out the internal one, which is arguably better anyway.

How is that better? An external drive allows you to extend the space available while continuing to utilize the original. Unless there is an easy way (and the PS3 didn't have one IIRC) to transfer your data from the launch HDD to a new one, external wins hands down.

I can't read the link, but I'd imagine it will eventually end up having external HDD support. They just didn't have it ready for launch, so it is launching without it.

Both have advantages. I prefer internal, but can understand some people not wanting to mess about with internal.

PS3 was cake to do imho, but I work in IT. I had people ask me to help with theirs before, so it's obviously not super easy. With cloud saves and DRM for the DD stuff, perhaps this time you will just forget about the local drive aside from stuff you copied on there that wasn't DD through PSN and partner apps.

But for me, I don't like having dongled crap, even a small 2.5" hdd sitting around. Maybe with future die-shrinks of flash memory cells, we can get 256gb USB flash drives though. That way you don't have a cable and another ugly box with blinking lights cabling out from the console. It probably won't take that long I would think.

Because then I can upgrade not only the space, but the speed.

It also doesn't support audio CDs. I didn't used that feature very often, but it was nice to have the option.
