I'm just going by Amazon:
So I assume not at launch? I'm not really sure though.

yeah they had pics of knack surfacing yesterday online showing it has like a 39gb install size or so. i figured they are already out in the wild. that is such a tease that you can have the games and controllers but no console!
Picked up my battlefield 4 from GameStop and what do I see? Killzone shadow fall available for sale. Kind of odd to have the game out there and no system lol.

Any of you guys/gals played Knack at the Sony store? I found it to be a completely generic platformer.
...but just imagine all the fervor you can drum up by having people sit there and see the game every day but be unable to play it. They'll be chomping at the bit to get their PlayStation 4!![]()
Really? So strange I've been looking at best buy and didn't see anything.
if the email was from amazon, they typically use december 31st as their placeholder date when they have no date.
That's the point except the particle effect gimmick of Knack growing when he absorbs parts and shrinking when he gets attacked. Think about it this way. You have shooters (both FPS and arcade), racing games, action games, & sports games. All targeted to an audience that is more skilled in gaming. What is there for the younger people in the house? Maybe something everyone can play and not feel overwhelmed. Knack is Sony's answer to that question. Whether it is a good game or not I don't know. I'll return it unopened if it's bad and get something else with the money.

Hey now.

They can do like the rest of us did and deal with it. Nintendo hard wasn't because the games were hard mechanic wise, they were hard because of cheap stuff like invisible walls killing you and limited lives. Maybe with all the hand holding, everyone wins and gets a brownie at the end of the game garbage we get, kids need to man up and learn to actually accomplish something, not having it given to them.

Eh, I don't know about that. I've heard that Knack is a lot harder than you'd expect, and that it might be too hard for kids. Maybe people have been playing it with the difficulty turned up... I'm not too sure.
the challenge that game director Mark Cerny and his team faced with Knack is making it accessible to different audiences. He says there are two demographics. “One is the core gamer drawn to mascot games,” he said. “It’s designed to be challenging.” The other is for novice players who have never picked up a controller in their life. “Easy mode is a different game,” he said.
I had some hands-on time with Knack and the change in difficulty gives the project two distinct feels. On Normal, it’s comparable to Bayonetta, where players have to read an enemies moves and react quickly, pulling off a bullet-time dodge and three-button combos. It can be punishing and players will die A LOT. On Easy, the game feels more like a Skylanders title. Enemy movements are slower giving players a window to attack. Obstacles aren’t as punishing
im not even why the difficulty in knack was brought up. games like ratchet and clank are some of the easiest games out there, but they are extremely fun and have great stories, and are much longer than most games are.
i think knack does look somewhat generic, but the production values on it more than make up for that because it looks spectacular and is presented in a nice manner too. i mean hell you have people calling god of war a "generic button masher". who cares what people call things?

Lol well, you know what I mean. Sony has touted Knack as the launch title that the whole family can play. I've also read that a change in difficulty can make it seem like a totally different game and it becomes very difficult at times.
Just picked it up. Had $40 or so in credit so figured I'd check while I went out to lunch.
