Republicans are going to lose this fall, Clinton or Obama will only change the margin of victory. With economy heading into a recession, people are going to want some Clinton TLC :D

Translation: that uppity negro!

Who gives a shit what Russia thinks; we aren't beholden to any country although the current administration has tried it's hardest to sell us out to Saudi Arabia and China.

Whomever the next president is, it'll probably be more of the same glad handing unless we can finally become an independent country again.

is that supposed to be a legitimate presidential issue?

edit: if it is, i'm voting for the first black guy i find.

No, it's not legit. If they want good relations with US, they'll just have to deal with whatever president we have, black, woman, jew, etc.

I don't get it. He's doing almost as well as Rudy. That's pretty impressive IMO. Compare that to his counterpart in the Dem party, Kucinich, only getting 1.4% of the vote.

Another thing to keep in mind is that the Paul supporters aren't going to pack it up and vote for McCain or Romney in Nov. Most of them will either swing to the Dems or continue to vote for Paul if he goes 3rd party/independent. In which case, his ~8% that he is steadily getting will represent more than 4x what all the 3rd party candidates have gotten in the last 2 elections, combined.
So that's a pretty good sized organized voting bloc that you guys keep mocking...

I actually like Edwards the most. I hope he gets considered as a vp.

me too. everyone bitches about him being a lawyer, but that's what I want standing up for our rights is someone who knows the law and how to win a lawsuit.

College towns have yet to report, nor has most of Western NH.

Its either going to be a statistical tie or a slight edge by Obama.

The college vote is overrated. We saw how useless it was in 2004

No it's not. The VP doesn't get things done with lawsuits or legal maneuvering.

I'm holding out for Hillary. Anything but the Obama change machine. It figures that after Bush people would desire someone with no experience...

Also, I would guess that Obama would be second choice for most Edwards type voters anyway.

Obama needs a blowout. Otherwise Hillary is where Bill was coming close 2nd out of NH, comeback kid.

The pundits seem to already not be buying that, she was the frontrunner for all but 5 days.

Edwards brought less than nothing to the ticket in 2004 and there's a pretty strong sentiment inside the party that he really toned his act down because he wanted Kerry to lose in prep for his (Edwards') '08 run.

I strongly doubt that he'll be a contender for VP in '08, though I try my best not to underestimate the democrats capacity to screw themselves.

These are the primaries, Vic. You can go back and find total crackpots and nobodies that got higher than 8% in Iowa and New Hampshire. If RP polls 8% in the General Election then I will kiss his ass.

As for now, he's not doing anything that Steve Forbes, Alan Keyes, and Lamar Alexander didn't do. It is one thing to poll 8-10% in a primary -- it is all together another thing to see that carry over to the general election.

Who cares about the pundits? She wins or statistically ties, she's the comeback kid, just like Bill was when he did better than expected in 92.
