Florida is forcing a woman to have a baby so she can watch it die immediately after birth. The baby has some sort of health issue that will prevent it from being able to breathe after birth. Being forced to carry to term in this case is cruel and unusual punishment that should be protected by the US Constitutuion and should have absolutely nothing to do with states' rights to limit abortion, etc. This is cruel to the parents and to the unborn child. Once the baby is born and dies the state of Florida has basically committed murder. I sincerely hope people forced into this sort of BS start suing the living crap out of Governors and states imposing this. They should DIAF.

The problem in Idaho is that doctors are leaving the state because Idaho has made it illegal for physicians to deliver accepted standards of care.

Else where the fucking greed of for-profit hospitals is closing down maternity services is many hospitals in smaller communities, leaving patients to drive 90+ miles through the mountains to deliver. Example Mission Hosp in NC, purchased by HCA in 2019.

It’s easy to beat up on drug addicts. Where do you draw the line? Imagine she ran a stop sign (not drunk) and caused an accident and had a miscarriage? 4 years in prison for that?

The autopsy showed the miscarriage could have been caused by a congenital abnormality and placental abruption, when the placenta detaches from the womb, the AP said.

There's no "smoking gun" here saying Meth was the cause. The prosecutor will of course ignore this and make the claim anyways. So at this time, the introduction of meth as the cause is simply a distraction from what is going on and really immaterial except to attack the mother thru a very common and accepted practice, attack drugs.

It's just as likely is was a regular old miscarriage. So, where does it end? Where's the line? A woman trips and falls, has a miscarriage, and can now be sent to jail? An older woman knows her risk is much greater, decides to conceive anyways, has a miscarriage, goes to jail? Domestic dispute creates anxiety to the point where a miscarriage occurs, woman goes to jail?

Oh, in South Carolina they're seeking to instate the death penalty for abortions...how long until the notion spreads to miscarriages?

May sound hyperbolic but I can see a black woman pulled over by police and unjustifiably harassed. She is 6 weeks pregnant but doesn't know it. Arrest stress causes miscarriage and then is prosecuted for murder by a Republican DA.
