Judge stops Kansas from dispensing junk science to patients. Pubs are doing everything to scuttle the effectivness to the vote by Kansas residents who clearly told them keep abortion rights.

Holy fuck. Medical care by legislation. That's a new one.

There's the small government, personal freedom party making up new bullshit laws. What crazy shit will conservatives think of next?

Florida attempting to thwart the will of the people. All these statewide ballot referendums have affirmed abortion rights even in the deep red ones.
She said while prior court decisions have used viability as a term meaning whether the fetus can survive outside the womb, “others will understand ‘viability’ in the more traditional clinical sense — as referring to a pregnancy that, but for an abortion or other misfortune, will result in the child’s live birth.”
I would like to note that the AG is a lawyer and not a clinician. If I had to bet, I would expect clinicians to have the former interpretation and not the latter. But my opinion is moot, because what really matters are the opinions of doctors and their patients. So perhaps we should stay the hell out of that decision making process and leave it to them.

Texas institutes a 6 week ban. They claim there are protections for the mother but fail to spell them out. Doctor's are left in limbo whether to treat women who need an abortion because they may lose their license. Women sue the state. State responds we refuse to clarify the law and doctors will just have to make the hard calls. Not only that the state says you have to sue your doctor before suing the state.

What kind of insanity is this? It's the M.O. of Republicans. Create vague laws and punish people using that vagary.

They're trying to create a new authoritarian regime. So this makes perfect sense to me.

So the day after ovulation (for an 'average' ovulation cycle). Why even bothering trying to play the "we didn't fully ban abortion" game.

A lot of people just going to pop a pill after sex. Wouldn't be surprised if Pregnancy Rates have a statistically visible decline.

Do you remember there is a court case in the pipeline to make those pills illegal?

When I read this headline...
A Texas judge ruled a pregnant woman who sued the state seeking an abortion can legally terminate her pregnancy

I knew this would follow very quickly...

These fucking republicans are on a fucking power trip, and women are the target. Religion is just their fucking excuse, it is 100% about control.

The competition in Texas to be the worst human on the planet is stiff.

Texas Supreme Court pauses ruling that allowed pregnant woman to have an abortion

If you care about any woman in Republic of Gilead Texas, especially of child bearing age, get them the fuck out of there before they close the borders.
