I'm still working on my Heavy Armor to get the combo that allows it to not slow you down and it weights nothing.
No, bad zin. Do not temp me!~ player.setav carryweight 200000000
or, just ignore that perk. such a waste. carry weight can be easily managed if you don't pick up every god damn thing (as I learned on 2nd playthrough)

Surely you don't believe running around, jumping , climbing , fighting is at all possible with 300lbs in your backpack. It's just a figure some people thought it might balance the gameplay, who's to say 1000lbs is inadmissible.
How can I make 8 pounds of leather from a hide that weighs 3 pounds? How can I craft a 31 pound warhammer from 5.6 pounds of materials? Why does a circlet that offers no protection weigh twice as much as an elven helmet? Why am I such a shitty jeweler that I can only get half a pound of jewelry from a one pound ingot? There's a lot of weight stuff that doesn't make a whole lot of sense in the game.
By shield bash do you mean holding the block and hitting attack button?Gheris said:Quote:

Zinfamous is on the money. The most annoying part of the Dragon fights for me is before the dragon starts to land. As soon as he lands it's shield bash, slash, slash, slash. Once you get the hang of it the dragon's are a cakewalk.

By the way, isn't there a mod that let's you turn into a dragon and fly? Or maybe I'm just remembering crap the wrong way?![]()
That slow-mo shield perk keeping bugging out on me all the time nowThe first few times it was fun to run around with everyone else super slow... But it's really annoying now, plus it kills the challenge... Anyone has any idea how to help with that?
Basically, when I block and the enemy does a power attack, there should be a ~1s slowing down of time so I can dodge the power attack - but it lasts for 20-30s at a time instead of the 1s.
yep! I posted about it many pages ago. Even when it does work, it is kind of useless. Or, at least, not so advantageous that it is worth a perk.
I have had to F9 out of those freezes several times.
Long ago, however, I removed that perk using console commands. Look up the code for the perk, then simply remove it. Then, treat yourself to a new perk--be careful though if you want to add or subtract leveled perks (those that are x/5)--you need to make sure they are added in proper order or things might bug out.
Honestly, you can't control when the slow down initiates if you are a shield warrior, so the only solution is to remove the perk and replace it.
And for me--it wouldn't simply bug for 30 seconds, it could last for 10s of minutes. It was kind of odd, bugging the slow mo, then tearing through the dungeon and hacking at everything that moved and never being able to sustain any damage. ...A bit "OP," wouldn't you think?![]()
I guess I'll have to do that then. But when it works as expected, it's really fun![]()
^ Never understood what was the fuss with Lydia anyway, every single player out there feels compelled to have her as companion, she's pretty much a worthless NPC here. Hell I much prefer Barbas to her.
you serious? Barbas freaking pushes me around all the time. He's invulnerable and all, but whenever I am stopped, that little fuck starts shoving me into corners and off of cliffs!
no wonder Clavicus Vile wanted to murder that bastard.
I like Lydia and her obnoxious attitude. She's pretty dumb, sure, but you get her a nice suit of armor and a serious great sword, she will go to town...assuming she doesn't run off a cliff to her death. :\
not sure what level you are, but trust me--it ends up being quite unnecessary. You only have to spec a few points into heavy armor (~3/5) then the nice bonus armor perks, and for shields (1/5 or 2/5--huge diminishing returns after the first one), then the spell resist and bashing bonuses, and you are, essentially, invulnerable.
Most of the real armor will come from maxing: smithing, alchemy, also enchanting, of course. max alchemy at 5/5 and all the beneficial increases (1st 3 perks, I think), same with enchanting (ALL the perks) and max smithing + armor classes that you want.
Once you get full, max enchanted gear of alchemy/smithing, some max potions of enchanting (also smithing potions that put about 145% increased smithing at that point), you are good to go.

Try Jordis for a change, she's the "upgraded" version of Lydia. And yeah, I'm well aware of Barbas being a butt(sorry a mutt), that's how much I dislike Lydia tho.
On my mage, I the first several times I walk into Proudspire, after purchasing and improving it, Jordis is chomping on some bread, and yells at me: "You're not supposed to be here!" Two or Three times!
