On the subject of followers, are there any true douchebag followers? I don't want to sacrifice Uthgherd to Boethia, and I don't really have any available followers that I dislike enough to want to sacrifice either.

Although I use the Aura shout often, so I don't really need her to tell me that. (It is the only shout I usually use)

Man, I use the "freeze them solid" shout all the time as crowd control.
You can get a whole group together, back up and put them in a line and freeze 3 or 4 of them so you can pick them all off easier.

Nice for guys who block all the time too. You can freeze them and get a few power attacks in.

Or I use it to level light armor skill, by letting guys beat on me, then freeze them, swap to magicka regen / restoration reduction robes and heal myself while they're laying on the ground, frozen.

The dragon call one is pretty useful too.

If you wanna level up restoration, just enchant several items that reduce its spell cost, eventually you will get to -100 percent.
Stand there taking hits and recharge. No need to stun anybody, you will never use any magicka. This is especially good if they are hitting you with lightning or magic draining poisons.

I just found a random follower in a tavern in city, hired them, then sacrificed them.

There are no random followers. They are all set characters with proper names. BUT there are a buttload of them in taverns and many are not essential to any quests.

I hired Marcurio (in Riften's tavern) just to sacrifice him to Boethia, then went to fetch Aranea back at Azura's shrine (where she goes back when you dismiss her). He came across as smug and paid the price.

They don't level with you though if I understand it correctly. Is that right? So unless we reset them via a cheat you would need to hire new ones every so many levels to keep them up near your own level and have any worth. That is if I read this thread right. All 113 pages so far and counting.

I'd hardly call it a cheat; it is just a console command that fixes a bug. At any rate I'm running the Skyrim Script Extender for the FPS mod and SkyUI, which, if I recall correctly, fixes that issue.

really want to try the SSE fix and SkyUI, but I'm waiting for the next patch, I guess--assuming that SSE will be included (I've only now started to see a frame rate hit from time to time)

Does SkyUI include a hotkey system that actually works?

also, I just don't want to mod anything that is being actively patched. :\

What is the command? I haven't read through all 112 pages myself.

I had figured that, but my definition was loosely defined: "have enough quests, find nearest person that can die for me"

My warrior bought a house in Whiterun. Now I can store all his stuff that I don't want to sell right away there. Also had my first game crash today. It was just after I bought the house. I been saving regularly so nothing lost. Then I went and did the Swindler's Den quest and had the game lock up at one point and had to stop the program to get it to clear. Again nothing lost. It happened shortly after a save. Game has been stable otherwise.

I got a Nord from one of the Northeastern towns - guy seemed like a douche. Otherwise, there is at least one Khajit caravan guy you can recruit. No one likes Khajit...

Still using Photoshop 5.5. Nice as it is, I can't afford the new stuff.

heh, I knew that was 5 or 5.5. Now they're at CS 5.5? crazy

I luck out by working at Universities and having access to education pricing but also, sometimes, depending on specific institutional contracts, complete license to this, for personal use, absolutely free.

Is there any disadvantages to becoming a werewolf? The guy that gave me the quest just says they'll be waiting if I change my mind and I'm guessing he won't give me any other quests until I accept. That is one possible disadvantage I suppose I could live with. I'm just wondering if I do accept if it negatively hurts my chances at anything in the game? I can't remember reading anything negative but I just want to make sure.

the only negative is that you don't get any restful sleep bonuses (which is only faster leveling, I think). that's pretty worthless, anyway.

the bonus is immunity to disease. oh, and you get to turn into a werewolf and fuck people up.

that being said, I've only turned into a werewolf once--I haven't found any real benefit to that part.
Not sure if I will change back, though.

I'm not entirely certain, as I never used it myself.

I think you might just need to disable and then enable them. Google should hopefully have an answer in less than 112 pages.
