Aww, found my first annoying glitch in that I hear the chants and see the word, but I can't unlock it :'(

I encountered that once too. It seems to be triggered on distance from the word. Just get close then slowly back away...worked for me.

Most of your Deadric stuff will come from crafting

Oh... I finally googled the recipe - so it's just ebony and daedra hearts. Damn, I just used all my ebony, and I found 48 pieces of ore in a mine then promptly sold them all... Guess I'll go whore more dungeons to pad my $90k in gold.

Or you can buy the ingots from the blacksmith standing by the forge?

Yeah when you have 90k in gold I think you can afford the what, 15-20 Ebony ingots you need to forge some Daedric and upgrade it.

I've found that whenever I need a specific reagent, regardless of which one, that's the one my local blacksmith won't have at that time. Or they'll have 1 when I need 5. Talos hates me I guess...

Ebony ingots go for like 500g each. The hearts on the other hand go for 1kg each.

Depends on speech skill obviously. Also, if you're trying to maximize your bargains, you should always give 1g to the town's beggar before transacting serious business. It gives you a blessing that buffs your haggling by 30%! Even without that blessing, however, I'm paying about 500g for daedra hearts. Not sure on Ebony.

I run around with some mask that boosts my speech and gives me a bonus to prices, I pay about 260 for ebony when I buy it.

So here's a weird request.. I'm on the 360 and my thieves guild chain quest is broken because I ditched my thieves guild armor a while back so I can't upgrade with tonillia. I extracted my save, any chance someone can add in the thieves guild basic armor? And maybe reset 4 perks while you're at it? :)

Would that work? Are the saves cross-platform compatible? If so, PM me.

I believe I read somewhere that they are. May need some minor modification though?

Want to read all the cool Skyrim books but find it painful to do on your computer?

Put them on your eReader device. Someone extracted all the books from the game and converted them into .MOBI and .EPUB files.

Was only a mater of time. And that was fast :p I think I remember seeing something similar for Oblivion, though don't know about ebook formats. Seems to be much more to read in Skyrim though!

I guess I'm at a loss. The 11.11b didn't help improve my framerates (I still get 30 FPS with crossfire on, as opposed to 40+ with a single card) and the 4GB exe fix seems to make me crash more often.

I've given up troubleshooting that stuff. The game is too much fun to be bothered by these side effects. I also refuse to give up the FXAA injector mod since it makes the game look so incredible with the high resolution texture packages. I mean, wow: showstopper. The constant crashes are just a reminder that I need to quick-save more often! A good training tool.

Make sure you are launching the game with the .exe file provided in the 4gb mod. I found myself just opening the game out of steam from reflex and caught myself after getting crashes doing it that way. I pinned that exe to the taskbar in windows so I remember to use it.

Merchants usually keep the stuff you sell to them in their inventory. Check back at who you sold it to.

No console on the 360?

Wow AMD has really fucked up this driver release. Triple A title like Skyrim that people have been waiting for for years and they still don't have drivers out that fix critical bugs almost 3 weeks after launch. Cross fire that has negative scaling, and no CAP release. They are working on it but each hot fix we see barely seems to fix anything. I understand their effort with BF3 has lots of issues as well.
