i agree. somone posted a cheat to increase how much you can carry. i used it and now can carry a insane amount. i don't want to be spending time running back and forth selling crap.

yeah. this is the 2nd upgrade to my mace.

Pop a 1 handed pot as well ;)

Edit - Apparently it only works for the marksman pot cuz its broken? My bow displays in the thousands when I pot, I use glass though, daedric is ugly.

I don't understand that argument against increasing carry weight. I'm sure you were exaggerating, but I think you went a bit far with the god mode comparison.

In the end the only real determining factor in how much gold you amass in this game is how much time you are willing to dedicate to running around to vendors selling shit. A single dungeon visit can sometimes load you up with enough loot that you can't even sell it all in a single city because you will run out of vendor gold. Personally I got tired of screwing around with swapping stuff between my inventory, my companions inventory, and my house. I boosted my weight limit up to 100,000. I'm still much poorer than most of the people posting here, my max gold ever is somewhere between 15-20k because I just don't bother to go sell all my crap (hell I don't even pick up most things any more), and I'm level 44. I'm currently running around with about 11k weight, though most of it is probably ore and ingots that I will never use (those Dwemer ruins really load you up with Dwarven ingots). The only difference between me and someone who didn't boost their weight limit is I've probably spent 8 less hours of game time fucking around with inventory and transporting shit between my house and vendors. If you have unlimited storage in your companion and your house, whats the difference?

If the roleplay factor improves your gameplay experience, then by all means go for it. But lets not pretend that unlimited inventory is anything more than a convenience factor.

This is exactly how I feel. I didn't want to turn this game into a time sink of inventory management. I tried to do that for the first 20 levels and found that I wasn't having fun because I could never complete more than a few tasks each day. This time around I would like to roll a couple different characters and not get stuck in the mundane details.

Bah, I accidentally deleted most of my post in a pre-edit. There should have been a smiley and a few more lines in there...

Of course there is nothing wrong with playing the game how you want (hoarding and selling loot for example). All I meant was that making money wasn't exactly the main intended point of the game, though you could make it that way if you wanted, Skyrim being a sandbox and all.

To me, If my carry limit is 400, I do not feel the urge to run around at all times with 399 weight in items. People can do whatever they want. I just don't get it, that's all. Once you have enough money to buy what you want/need, why bother collecting every little thing you find to sell for more gold? What's the purpose? If you just enjoy doing it, then I guess that is the purpose.

Psh... I stash shit by the door then fast travel to get my horse so I can go over the limit then fast travel to sell the shit:). Kind of an "insurance" and a bleeding of real life money management into a game world. I hoard gold and assets in games. I have $80k+ now in Skyrim, if I load up Fallout Vegas, I'd have $$70k, and Fallout 3 probably the same.

If I have the money, I can buy anything I want at any time including weapons, training, whatever. It's also a matter of waste (hoarding mentality), and letting such high value items disappear when the bodies disappear forever after the game reaches its memory limit.

Yes, I do the same thing in real life:).

I guess I'm at a loss. The 11.11b didn't help improve my framerates (I still get 30 FPS with crossfire on, as opposed to 40+ with a single card) and the 4GB exe fix seems to make me crash more often.

I've given up troubleshooting that stuff. The game is too much fun to be bothered by these side effects. I also refuse to give up the FXAA injector mod since it makes the game look so incredible with the high resolution texture packages. I mean, wow: showstopper. The constant crashes are just a reminder that I need to quick-save more often! A good training tool.

Very odd to have so many report crashes like this when I haven't seen a single one in my 10+ hours of playing. I remember having tons of issues with Oblivion back in the day though, when I had the x850xt (awesome back then). Only connection being that I'm rock solid now with Nvidia on a single GTX570.

Enemies sometimes show up as blue when I cast my detect life spell. So I walk up to them expecting them to be friendly but they turn around and all attack me once I get close.

edit: another thing is that some enemies seem to be able to make ridiculous moves to dodge my arrows. I can sometimes shoot at an enemy sitting in a chair and as soon as I let the arrow go he immediately jumps from his chair and I miss. Some guys can dodge about 10+ feet in a split second to dodge an arrow.

A lot notice it happening more and more the longer they play and not until either/both upgrading textures, using mods, or 15+ hours of play. I personally had zero crashes with the game as vanilla.

I'm betting you'll see some if you start fast traveling a lot since that's where 80% of my crashes come from. If not, count your blessings I guess?

I almost never fast travel, I wonder if that's why I've had so few crashes. This has been one of the most rock solid games I've ever played, a near miracle considering it's from Bethesda.

Fast traveling just feels like a cheat to me on the first playthrough. For subsequent characters I'll definitely be using it though.

I didn't start getting them until well over 20hrs in, and they are just random. Fast traveling has given me maybe 1 crash, the rest are just completely out of the blue. Might be walking around, might engage an enemy, etc. Some days seem to be better than others. Other night I got like 4 or so in my game time, thankfully the game is fairly quick to load up again. Tonight I had some really bad texture glitches (had an occasional tree before, this time clothing, rocks, sometimes faces, most trees were purple), which conveniently helped me determine which of the draugrs were sleeping, but it was stable. Not sure if it was some strange heat issue, drivers, or just the game being wonky at times.

I've had people and an entire forest get coated in a plastic blue as well. I thought it was trippy so I just rolled with it, heh.

I've only had 2 crashes and they were both very early in the game. They stopped around the time I started using the simple borderless window mod, I don't know if it is related though.

Those of you who have the game crash a lot, have you tried this mod? It's probably worth a shot.

I'm having this strange issue with framerates (happens even when I remove my mods.) The game runs perfectly smooth (> 40 FPS), then after playing for a bit and going through several loading screens, it suddendly slows to a crawl outdoors. Indoors usually stay fine. The only way to fix it is to restart the game, which doesn't take long, especially with an SSD, but it's an annoyance.

Is anyone else having similar issues? Any way to fix this? I'm running forceware 285.79 on my GTX 560.

By the way, I rarely recommend HD texture mods, because most of them are too different from the original art, and end up changing the game from the way the artists envisioned it. However, this mod is simply too good to pass up, because you're staring at rocks 80% of the time playing this game, and this mod makes them looks FAR better than the original blurry textures, while still being faithful to the art style. Give it a try:

I have not had a crash for last 2 days lol ..but I know it won't last, anyway still enjoying playing the game and lots of things to do.

I've decided to go light armour for my battle mage, saves on weight and lighter on your feet, besides both dragon scale and glass legendary armour are quite awesome on stats, especially if you enchant it like I have done with magic .

That happened to me after a 4 hour marathon. I was in a cave and all the enemies turned into blue, skinless dudes. Also, one time the moons didn't load in the sky and they just appeared as big, solid black circles. Memory issues?

I've had CTDs every few hours fairly regularly as of late. Still better than Fallout Vegas, which crashed 10-20 times in a row just trying to get the game launcher to load; after that, it was usually okay.

Edit: By the way, where is all the deadric stuff? I'm almost level 50 and still stuck on ebony. I've seen a single daedric war axe in a chest somewhere. I haven't gone very far (outside Whitechurch?) for the main story yet.
