Newb question - if I have the disk how to do I go about marrying it to Steam? I'd rather install from disk and have Steam patch me up (if needed). Or, is there a benefit from doing it this way or should I just pull it down from Steam?

So last night after I posted that I went around and got myself full daedric armor and improved it with my 100 smithing. Haven't played since I made the set but I jumped up ~200 armor and over 30 damage. Hoping that should help me against these stronger enemies.

Question what is everyone enchanting on their main set of armor? I know a lot of people run an alchemy set and say a smithing and an enchanting set but what are you rocking on your combat set.

I think my boots are the only thing I don't have double enchanted, next time I find a Daedra Heart I'm gonna probably make new boots. I have like 20 Grand Souls lying around, might as well use them. I'm in full Daedric with a Daedric sword. I think I have 11 total enchantments on apparel. 2 each on ring, necklace, gloves, helmet, armor, and one on boots. I'm fortifying 4 items each with fortify one-handed and fortify Destruction, then I think carry weight increase, stamina regen increase, and I don't recall the last one right now. Unfortunately I may have broken the game with the Destruction fortification. I have both dual casting feats and all my Destruction spells cost zero to cast. So I just spam either Fireball or Ice Storm and can clean out rooms of big nasties fairly easy. Or it takes me about 3 hits to drop a giant with my sword (I did some of the alchemy/enchanting/smithing trick). The sword btw has absorb health and shock damage on it.

I've got that one to do. I visited the shrine and they said I need to bring someone here as a sacrifice. Do I need to sacrifice someone that will follow me like Lydia?

I tried that just for shits and giggles, and it didn't work.

Pretty evil quest though...

I'm sick of dragons. I see them everywhere and they just kill everyone I love. Stupid game.

Seriously. Only "safe" town I've been to in the south is Winterhold. Every other time I go to Falk-whatever and Riften, a freaking Elder Dragon swoops town and starts killing people off. I reload if any named NPCs die.

On the everything-else front, I'm level 47 with about 90k in gold. I'm decked out in ebony, haven't seen anything Daedric yet. Very annoyed that I'm short on perks to upgrade enchantment and smithing. Probably shouldn't have pumped any into sneak and lockpicking (totally unnecessary) as a warrior.

Just run the disk and install it, you'll be prompted to use steam at some point. Installing from the disk will be faster than downloading from steam, and the only patch at this moment is 18mb, which on most decent connections takes like 30 secs.

I watched a friend do that one, and he used a certain priest that was learned from talking to one of the members (might have met him earlier, I dunno). I'm not sure if that dude is required or if someone else will do as well.

I've broken 5 quests already, 1 I was able to fix with the console and the others I just have to check off because I've already done them.

Is there a mod yet that I can mark quests completed? I have completed the other 4 quests but they still show in my log and I can't find the console codes for them, probably since they aren't major quests.

Yeah I'm waiting for a mod that will let me "delete" quests, as well as spells...

money is really easy to come by in this game. I have around $40k worth of jewels sitting in my end table at my Whiterun house, but I can't sell them because I have at least 20k worth of loot that I carry around with me all the time trying to sell to shops, but everyone runs out of money after I sell them a couple items.

I've also got 50k in gold, after buying and completely upgrading the Solitude house.

I keep leaving tons of loot behind because I just can't carry any more, not until I sell off what I have.

So don't carry them? I never understood the fascination with filling up your inventory to the max just for gold. I only pick up the things I need/want.

So daedric armor is better than dragon armor? I get confused because its lower on the chart, but I thought dragon was better. Also, I've got so many damn dragon bones and scales lying around my house that when I hit a pile, it sounds like thunder going off. Aside from crafting, improving, and selling the armor, what use is it?

I'm a nightingale. Any reason to keep the armor? Its just lying around the house.

My horse, Frost, died. Any way to resurrect it?

My weapons are legendary. Is there a way to make them better? I can drink a potion and do it that way, but will it let me make better weapons, or is it just a limitation of the game?

Lastly, how do I recharge a staff/stave? By recharge do I just have to re-enchant it or what?

Why wouldn't I? What's the point in running around with an empty inventory?

Daedric is better if you use heavy armor. Dragon is the best light armor in the game. There is really no other use I have found for the dragon stuff.

To resurrect Frost find his body click on him and type
Code:
resurrect
in console.

Legendary is the best you can do with improving weapons and armor of a certain type. The only way to make them better then what you have would be to improve your smithing skill through enchants or potions.

Recharge I'm not sure you should be able to do it somehow at an enchanting table.

Well RavenSEAL thanks a million for your Skyrim pack. Just installed it and woah, it's perfect. Nothing over the top, just perfect.

Just didn't installed the Post Processing Injector since...well I don't really know what it's doing except blast some greens :p

What does it do exactly and what settings do you use?

Yep, I found one of those random people you fist fight in bars and led him there. I felt like an ass, but it was worth it

Enjoying the game? This isn't Skyrim Tycoon, so I don't see the point in obsessing over gold.

How do you figure I'm obsessing over gold? Because I made a single post about how I have a lot? What if hoarding and selling loot is what I enjoy?

Why Daedric weapons? Other than the look I found that Ebony weapons do the same damage. Is the potential upgradeability of Daedric better than the Ebony ones? The base damage looks the same to me.

Bah, I accidentally deleted most of my post in a pre-edit. There should have been a smiley and a few more lines in there...

Of course there is nothing wrong with playing the game how you want (hoarding and selling loot for example). All I meant was that making money wasn't exactly the main intended point of the game, though you could make it that way if you wanted, Skyrim being a sandbox and all.

To me, If my carry limit is 400, I do not feel the urge to run around at all times with 399 weight in items. People can do whatever they want. I just don't get it, that's all. Once you have enough money to buy what you want/need, why bother collecting every little thing you find to sell for more gold? What's the purpose? If you just enjoy doing it, then I guess that is the purpose.
