Is the distinction between heavy and light armour just that the heavy stuff is the metals and the light stuff is all leather and hide? Aren't there like light elven mails and things which are made of metal? If so how do you tell 100% that a piece of equipment is considered heavy or light?

It says if it's light or heavy in the details box, top left corner (pretty sure).

I have some elven stuff in both light, and I guess medium. Usually it will say 'light elven armor' and yes it does appear to be made of metal.

Just got my Prima strategy guide from Amazon. The book is twice as thick as the one for Oblivion. 656 pages of really detailed info.

I don't get using strategy guides. Not hating on you or anything, just don't get them.

Especially when a few patches generally make the book kind of obsolete. My strategy guide has always been www.google.com

The Prima guide is also available on Apple's iBooks, which always allow you to download a free sample. The sample has a lot of the early pages which covers general reference things like racial stats, locations of shouts and trainers, as well as analysis of perks. To get the quests walk through, item guides, maps, etc. you would have to pay for the complete book. Still, the sample is a decent free reference resource until the web catches up.

Say what you will about the graphics... there are just so many areas where this game is gorgeous.

Holy crap how many copies did this game sell?

Code:
Current Players	Peak Today Game

189,704 [B]287,411 [/B] The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

That's by the far the most players I've ever seen on a Steam game.

That's just for the PC version too, right? Unless Steam somehow has something to do with the console versions of the game.

Yeah just PC.

If I had to take a guess I'd say that 300k concurrent players translates to at least 2 or 3 million copies sold just on PC... but maybe it's a indication of the quality/addictiveness of the game rather than how many copies it sold.

AFAIK BF3 on PC hasn't gone above ~100k concurrent players (from looking at bf3stats.com)

Yeah, for a single player game Skyrim is owning the crap out of BF3 as far as player count.

These hotsprings... there are people bathing in them! Clothes and shoes strewn everywhere, wine, and a sword planted into the ground.

I happened to visit the hot springs today. Those will be fun to visit once the nude mods start showing up. :D

Yup. That's the one I got. First guide I've bought in ~10 years and definitely worth every penny. Was 20% off when I picked my game because they counted them together even though I had ordered and paid my game a couple of weeks before.

Haven't come across those yet but I've found a place where you can dive from a really high ledge/board and if you have enough forward momentum to clear the cliff and land into the water, you get a nice chat & reward from the ghost of a bard for did not jump quite far enough.

So now you'll know what if feels like to dive from ~300' up.

Anyone know what the console command is to change your carrying capacity? I figure since companions carry an unlimited amount anyways, why bother with all the menus, I'll just carry it myself. Never been a fan of carrying capacity's or limited inventory space anyways.

player.modav carryweight 100000

Change the number to whatever you want, I picked an insanely high one so I'll never have to worry about it hopefully.
