sure if anyone is drinking 4+pops a day, eating a dozen doughnuts a week and all the other junk food then yeah they are going to be unhealthy.

I love fresh doughnuts. i eat 2-3 a week. I also have 2 cans of pepsi a day. I maybe had 3 candy bars a year (yes a YEAR i really do not like choklete much).

I have to agree with the tap water. I lived in Dekalb IL and they had one of the worse tap waters around. The city has been sued a few times over it but they just wont do anything about it. So it was bottled water for me! now that i moved i have my own well and its great. but we also have a filtration system.

Is it good for you? while its not good for the body at times it is good for the soul. Of course if someone is not offsetting all that empty calleries with excercise then of course they are going to get fat.

But i have to say i think the guys is just trying to get you to buy his crap. he says something is bad but its ok! he sales something to take its place! bah

And of course I'm going to completely take everything to heart on an article with a picture of this guy on the front of it.

Yea that shite is bad for you, but he was a little over the top in the descriptions IMO.

The guy sounds like a quack with an agenda.

When you don't like the message, shoot the messenger.

In this case, that would be a good idea.

Rip, no one is arguing that those foods are "good" for you. But his fatalistic dramatics are typical of his quackery.

I don't agree with everything he says, but I believe that you'd generally be better off following his advice versus following the path of our disease care system which waits for your health to deteriorate and then then loads with pharmaceuticals or slices you up.

Which health care professionals in the US are recommending ANYTHING on that list for a "healthy" diet?

Name just one...

Rip, you've been sucked in by a cult. That part is clear, now.

Fact: Because of vaccinations, which this nutball opposes, modern health-care has prevented more diseases than it has EVER cured. And WAY more than this fruitcake will ever even THINK of curing.

Quit while you're ahead, OK?

Take a look at some of the products that the AHA has put there heart seal of approval on.

According to a report in JAMA, 750,000 people per year die as a result of our health care system.

It was 250,000, and the "report" was flawed.

And most of these claimed are due to infections.

Rip, ask yourself how many would be alive if we stopped all vaccinations?

Actually this is:

?If the examples in the above Rules of Gross Food have not thoroughly disgusted you, then you may be ready to break the rules in judicious combinations. Consider casu marzu, Sardinian maggot cheese. This combines insects, rotting, a stench, and living creatures. What could be better?

To make casu marzu, you start with pecorino, an ordinary Italian sheep-milk cheese. You leave it out in the sun, so flies can lay their eggs in it. The larvae become maggots, whose respiration causes the cheese to ferment into a particularly creamy concoction.

The Wall Street Journal describes casu marzu as follows: "a viscous, pungent goo that burns the tongue and can affect other parts of the body. One neophyte experienced a strange crawling sensation on his skin that lasted for days. And some of the wiggling worms jump straight toward the eyes with ballistic precision. To protect the eyes, some Sardinians recommend holding a hand over the sandwich."

Bon Appetit!?

Because the man who's advice you are touting also opposes ALL vaccinations and claims HIV does not cause AIDS.

Rip, this has gone beyond the list when you started spouting the same anti-mainstream medicine bullsh!t he does.

And his list is a lot of hype. There is no reason any of those foods cannot be occational treats. We treat ourselves to LOTS of things that aren't beneficial, but if used on occation, aren't harmful either.

They are terrible for you if you eat them all the time. On rare occasions they won't harm you unless you have a pre-existing medical condition.

Wonder what the 5 worst natural foods are that you eat?

Some guesses?

Based on fat and cholesterol?

Avocado
Nuts
Eggs
Red Meat
Butter (edited)

Don't really have a good basis for these, just a guess.

I don't agree with the article. Every item on there is fried, so you could just start off the list as:

1. Fried foods

Then instead of naming a specific food, I would continue to categorize, like so:

2. Bleached white wheat flour

3. Bleached white sugar

4. Transfat (Hydrogenated Oils)

5. High Fructose Corn Syrup

Now with that list, you can really see how poor the average american diet is. I try and eat the above combinations as little as possible.
