Mercola makes it sound as if you are doing your body harm if you occasionally have any of those food items. That list is more a list of food items that shouldn't be part of your daily diet and anybody who has the slightest inkling of what is a healthy diet would realize that. The only item on that list that doesn't have any nutritional value would be the soda so in a sense when you occasionally partake in the other 4 food items they are actually good for you as any nutrition is good for your body. It's like wine, wine has alcohol in it which is a poison but when taken in small amounts it's actually healthy for you. On the other hand if you drink it to excess day after day it is extremely harmful to your system.

If you were to eat 1 serving of each of those food items he listed once a week they wouldn't cause your body any harm unless you have a pre-existing condition like diabetes.

The crap people will fall for simply amazes me.

Mercola spreads these myths and dangerous medical misinformation:

*HIV does not cause AIDS
*Vaccinations are dangerous and should not be given to children (even though they have had the single largest effect in lowering the death rate in the history of medicine).
*Flouride is bad
*The Aspartame/Splenda myths

I could go on and on, but why? The man is a fruitcake.

His entire website has one purpose: To pull you into his cult by making you distrust modern medicine. Then you turn your money over to him to buy his products.

He is the medical version of David Koresh and Jim Jones. Only this guy is killing people by turning them away from PROVEN medical facts and treatments.

Ask any REAL doctor (Mercola is NOT an MD) about medical information on the net and the FIRST name they will bring up concerning quackery and misinformation is Mercola.

Guys, if all you want is a healthy diet plan, find it elsewhere. Given this fruitcake's other beliefs, I wouldn't trust a damn thing he says.

Only an extremist would find him credible.

"There are no "bad" foods, right? Only food you should eat in moderation? Well, not really. The following foods are so bad for your body that I really can?t see any reason to eat them. Not only do they have zero nutritional value, but they also give your body a healthy dose of toxins, which should make the idea of eating them really hard to swallow."

I'm failing to see the "extemism" in these statements.

None of the items he listed are good for you.

That's pretty obvious to anyone who has any sense.

Can you please educate me on how trans-fats are good for you?

First of all with the exception of most soda's those food items he mentions do have some nutrional value so his statement that they have zerpo nutritional value is blatantly false. As far as eating them in Moderation well I guess it depends on you idea of moderation. For those foods I would consider it be one serving a month but then I'm very watchful of what I eat. On the rare occasion Ihave a hankering for a donut, Corn Chips, Fried Shrimp or a French Fry I'm not going to worry about the trans fats, processeed sugar or mercury level because I don't eat enough of it to do any actual harm to my system.

To say you should never eat any of those foods no matter what is an extremist POV.

Where does he say that you should never eat them? Here's what he said:

"The following foods are so bad for your body that I really can?t see any reason to eat them."

Personally, I avoid these things because they aren't good for me and there are things that ARE good for me that I enjoy just as well.

What he should have said that eating those foods on a regular basis may be harmful but he makes it seem like eating them on rare occasions is doing your body harm which it is not.

ATOT, welcome to the Wacky World of Riprorin! If you crave more of his distinctive blend of ignorance, stubbornness, and piousness, check him out here.

You'll be especially entertained by his curious fascination with the evils of the homosexual lifestyle, and his belief that aborting an unborn baby with dwarfism is bad, while allowing a born baby with dwarfism to die for lack of medical care, against his parents' wishes, is just peachy.

While it's true those things aren't good for you, this smells of BS.

Ha! I eat all that and I'm perfectly healthy! Except I get a lot of chest pains, numbness in the limbs, severe pain along my jaw and neck, I get dizzy, and just recently I started to have dreams about a dude wearing all black and wielding a sickle and beckoning to me with what looked like a skeletal hand.

Oh yeah, and after my doctor checked me out he handed me a card for a local funeral home. What's up with that?

My chest is hurting again. I just need to take a nap.

IIRC, DV is a single man, so he probably does get a grip several times a week. :D Obviously that is not enough. ;) Heh.
