Seems to be going up. Was only 33% yesterday. Realistically I'd say it should stop at about 60%.

I think it will end up with 6.5 on imdb.

Which isn't too bad for the 5th installment of a movie franchise.
I would personally rate the movies in order:

T2
T1
Whichever one it was with christian bale (T4 I think)
T3

Even T3 is quite watchable.

Has anyone seen this mashup yet? Robocop vs. Terminator vs. Batman vs Diehard vs Predator.

I'd put a link in but there don't seem to be any for legit sites.

I'm predicting 47% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Who knows, but the movie was actually quite enjoyable even for a long time fan like myself. I certainly didn't leave the cinema disappointed.

I think a lot of the criticism is purely due to the fact everyone has such massive expectations. I don't know why though; Do people really believe wholeheartedly that any new Terminator film will be better than T1 and T2?

no one thinks that, but this is what people know:

--T4 was bad. It was...awful. One of the worst movies in quite some time. Just horrible bad.
--T3 wasn't great, but it was OK. It pissed some people off in the end, but it was still a decent part of the franchise, greatly overshadowed by its predecessors. So, safe to say that it was at least disappointing for all fans, even though it wasn't nearly as bad as that crap with Bale. In the end, the last two attempts at Terminator films ranged from disappointing to very bad film.

--Arnold is old. Does anyone really want to see this old man pretend to be a terrifying murder robot again? come on.
--It's something of a reboot/reimagining. Everyone is sick of that crap.

--Everyone also knows that Predator just needs to show up and Terminator is STOMPED! It's hardly worth watching when such an outcome is known! :D

Terminators squashed humanity, but when it's 1,2,3 v 1 humans win. Humans 1 v 1 stomp predators. Thus Terminators win against predators. None of their defenses work against a Terminator.

Also T4 > T3. :p

I don't think many people have massive expectations, why would they? The last 2 were garbage, as are almost all modern reboots, and the trailers they have released are literally the worst I've ever seen in my life.

Yea, i didn't really enjoy T4 to be honest. I gave it a 4/5 out of 10 back in the day. It was just too slow for my liking.

T3 was ok. I gave that one about a 6 I think. Had some nice action.

Genisys was the best of the lastest films in my oppinion. With a 6/7 out of 10. Purely for the fact that we actually got to see a little history about the first terminator getting sent back in time to 1984.

You don't get dissapointed by something you havn't even seen if you didn't expect/want something you don't think you're going to get.

The same is true for the few that have seen the movie. If you really hated this movie then you went into it wanting something and it didn't deliver. That's all based on expectations - higher than normal expectations.

Like i said above, I enjoyed it. Sure, it's not going to be in my top 10 list, but I wasn't expecting it to be this years blockbuster anyway.

I have pretty low expectations for this actually.

Low expectations and hoping for the best.

That is. I realize that it will never be better than 1/2. But I hope it is better than 3/4.

Having said that, I did enjoy 3/4 for what they were. Own both on Disk. Don't watch them often though.

T3 is 70% on RT.
T4 is 33%.

So long as this is over 60% I'll be happy. Hoping for 70%+ though.

I fear that many reviews will accidentally get counted as negative due to the obvious 1/2 comparison that will always occur.

I just wonder if they will keep bumping the date up from 2029 to like 2055 if they continue to make Terminator movies. And they will eventually have to cut the Arnold persona out of the movie too. He's 68 now!

Unfortunately, Judgment Day is inevitable in a different timeline; it was merely delayed.

After Sarah Сonnor, her son John and the T-800 destroy Cyberdyne headquarters and all backups of the research Terminator 2: Judgment Day, the date for Judgment Day is moved to July 25, 2004 6:18 pm Eastern Time.

John Connor: "You shouldn't exist. We took out Cyberdyne over ten years ago. We stopped Judgment Day."
T-850: "You only postponed it. Judgment Day is inevitable."

It took one soldier and a waitress to kill a Terminator.

It took an uber-elite team of commandos to kill a Predator.

No it didn't. It took 1 uber commando (those other guys didn't count they were all dead long before the predator), and an old cop another time.

Did you even watch Predator? Only two commandos were killed by surprise. The rest knew that they were being hunted.

The future cutscenes show what happens to Terminators when they go up against humans with advanced weapons. They are slow, don't take any cover, and are limited by their programing.

Predators are fast, agile and smart. Their shoulder cannons or plasma pistols will make quick work of a T-800. Not to mention a computer guided Smart Disc that will guide itself to the target. Or a remote bomb that could blow a Terminator to bits. Or an EMP throwing mine that would disable it.

T1 and T2 were the best, T3 was enjoyable, Terminator Salvation was horrible, but this one actually looks promising.

T101's fuel cell is utter BS in T3 and T4.
If it were true, T2 would have ended quite a bit earlier ;)
