Ya, but what if the terminator could be invisible?

It would still mistake a microwave for a human.

terminators are dumb.

think about it: Humans survived and murdered scores of Skynet soldiers and terminators for decades, with rather simple weapons, and the most important thing: the human brain.

Bear in mind that this is in a planet controlled entirely by Skynet and its terminators.

You compare that to a world controlled by Predator, the most elite hunter in the galaxy?

not a fucking chance: Terminator dead in weeks; humans dead in months.

I'd like to see a T-1000 against a predator.

The Predators that have been coming here are the equivalent of a hunter with a shotgun and a duck call.

I'd like to see a Predator decked out for war and not just hunting.

What in the world? The movie theaters by me say that it is in theaters today? But the release is supposed to be July 1?

Is this for real?

no you are living in a pretend world where movie theaters lie to you.

I knew it!

We did theorize at work that it is possible to release it a day earlier since they had to invent time travel to make the movie. Where else would you get those robots from? Look, I am not stupid, you know. They cannot make things like that yet!

Skynet sent the reels back in time to be released the day before they were supposed to be released to try to make the money back they are about to lose.

Saw the movie last night at a special movie screening. Without giving away anything, I thought it more a Comedy / Action movie. During the movie there was just too many people saying: How did that happen? or That doesn't make sense? Even when someone in the movie comments about how the terminator (Arnold) is now aged, he comments that because it is living tissue it also ages. On some things they give an explanation and others they do not. Overall, I gave it two popcorn bags out of five. This seemed to be the experience of the whole 500 auditorium. Terminator number one was still the best. Many scenes taken in this movie from Terminator 1.

currently 25% on RT  :(

junk just like the other cash grab remake.
(Jurassic world anyone?)

Jurassic World is actually getting acceptable reviews. 71% on Rotten Tomatoes and 59% on MetaCritic.

They say Jurassic World is dumb but fun. They say Terminator Genisys is just dumb.

No it didn't. It took 1 uber commando (those other guys didn't count they were all dead long before the predator), and an old cop another time.

Just because a bear kills a man who's bow-hunting doesn't mean bears could take out man. Predator is hunting humans, using less tech than available to make it a sport.

They have orbital drop ships. Do you really think in a war they would limit themselves to melee weapons and a simple blaster thingie?

no one thinks that, but this is what people know:

--T4 was bad. It was...awful. One of the worst movies in quite some time. Just horrible bad.
--T3 wasn't great, but it was OK. It pissed some people off in the end, but it was still a decent part of the franchise, greatly overshadowed by its predecessors. So, safe to say that it was at least disappointing for all fans, even though it wasn't nearly as bad as that crap with Bale. In the end, the last two attempts at Terminator films ranged from disappointing to very bad film.

--Arnold is old. Does anyone really want to see this old man pretend to be a terrifying murder robot again? come on.
--It's something of a reboot/reimagining. Everyone is sick of that crap.

--Everyone also knows that Predator just needs to show up and Terminator is STOMPED! It's hardly worth watching when such an outcome is known! :D

My main problem with T3 was the casting, but I thought it was just about as good as a third Terminator movie could be. It had all the right elements. I don't understand the hate. Sure, it's nowhere near as good as T1 and T2 and it un-does all the "no fate" stuff from T2, but how else could the story continue?

T3 had a menacing villain. It also had bad-ass scenes like flipping the crane, carrying the casket through the graveyard, tormenting the psychiatrist that was in both previous movies (love his reoccurring bit), tearing around in the hearse, ... I even liked the funny versions of the call-back scenes (like the clothing acquisition at the start).

T3 was not a great movie, but it was a fun spectacle and I wasn't disappointed.

T4:Salvation was absolute shit. I hate that I wasted the time and money to ever watch it.
"Kyle Reese! Got to find Kyle Reese! Kyle Reese! Kyle Reese! Kyle Reese!"

T1 and T2 were the best, T3 was enjoyable, Terminator Salvation was horrible, but this one actually looks promising.

This...except I think everything I watched about this one before James Cameron's gushing spoiler comments made me think it would be absolutely terrible. Only after reading his impression did I become interested in seeing it.

The action sequences in T3 were as good as it gets for the franchise. T4 was all cartoons, so none of that counts.

The crane scene was phenomenal, and is as good as any of the big scenes in T2. A lot of people idn't like casting John Connor in that one, but I thought he did fine and portrayed quite well what you would think a John Connor at that age and that life situation would be. He was way better than Furlong, imo.

T2 was great, of course....but I still prefer T1 overall.

The only thing I liked about T3 was inflatable boobs.
Seriously, the ending was the only cool thing. Unexpected and bold.
The crane was stupid. How many wheels did that have? I do like pacing. All Terminator movies need to be a non stop chase scene.
So, there are three things I like about T3.

Four things, if you count each individual inflatable boob. :colbert:

Furlong portrayed a 13 year old kid perfectly. Confused yet understanding and goes through a maturing. He even had a clearly in puberty voice that gave the feel of transitioning from boy to man. I actually thought that he did real well. Not perfect but close. Only in a few moments did I think that he was not a seasoned actor. Rare enough that I gave him a pass.

JW is north of 70%, are you kidding?

JW kinda sucked.

To be frank. It was essentially Jurassic Park. The same exact formula. But the twist in JW is that you could care less emotionally for the people. In JP, you actually cared about hte core group of people. And you left the movie feeling happy and with a sense of happiness and dare I say it .... accomplishment.

The art of movie making is pretty much dead at this point. Atleast in Hollywood. I am basially at the point where I 100% believe that Hollywood sees things as an $$$ in should be 1.2x$$$ out. Not hat I blame them but they are forgetting what makes the cash ou be $$$x1.4x. STORY! Stop paying hte actors and start paying the writers!
