Tbh you should cook your meat only sparingly(raw omnivour)

I had a similar experience. In Fallout4, I got bit by a mole-rat, and gave the only cure to a good cause (a very ill child) and so permanently lost 10 Health points.
So, whenever I eat rats now, I make sure they are always thoroughly cooked.

I'm not worried about tape-worms, since they have been replaced by dvd-worms, blu-ray-worms, and even the latest mp3-worms. If my virus-scanner detects any problems with mp3-worms, I thoroughly disinfect it with the latest red-hot virus/worm/malware zapper.

Woah that's kinda cool that they have a pneumatic tube. I've seen those around in odd places but never got the chance to use one. My hospital has one, and Home Depot does too but it's for employees. Guessing the hospital uses it to send meds to different floors or something, not sure what HD uses it for. I imagine there is a specific reasoning for those, but not sure why, other than that they are cool. 😛

And actually gas pumps probably are quite nasty... I wonder how often those even get cleaned? A lot of people who travel and pee on the side of the road don't wash their hands and then continue driving and then eventually stop to put gas. I guess it would not be a bad idea to get a little gas on your hands to wash up real quick before you go in and pay. But then you have to toutch their debit machine... can't win. 😛
 
Don't get me wrong, I wash my hands first thing when I get inside when I get home, and wash my hands before and after going to the bathroom, and before eating.
 
A raw hamburger put my wife in the hospital for 16 days. I got to sit by her bed and watch her nearly die. So yeah - I'm going to have to disagree with the OP.

Wow, we have pneumatic tubes at all of our banks that have drive-thrus which is almost all of them. You can't drive a few miles without passing one in most areas. Even most small towns have at least one bank with them.

We were on a road trip & stopped at a fast food place in Missouri. In hindsight, I think she made a comment about how the hamburger seemed undercooked, but we didn't give it a lot of thought until she landed in the hospital a couple of days later.

Was the meat red or brown? Cause if it was brown and felt raw means it had gone bad already.

What are they used for exactly? Here you can just insert stuff right into the machine in a slot.

Bank access is remote. There's usually more than one aisle, and instead of handing stuff through a folding door or something, it's teleported away in a bullet through the magic of pneumatics.

Interesting. Always figured there was just an access door behind the machines.
 
The bacteria are on the surface of beef muscle, so a quick sear makes it safe, and it's basically raw. Burgers are a different story; the surface has been ground into everything else, so ordering anything but a well-done burger is an unnecessary risk.
 
mmmh I could go for some raw cookie dough, but me no touch raw meat. It's like dating, you need to get some background before you hit the sack.
 
I think I've been pretty lucky. I've eaten questionably-cooked (by me) meat and poultry and never got food poisoning. The worst was just minor, short-term stomach cramps and a lot of nasty farts. I've eaten chicken that was still pink inside by accident maybe twice, a burger made with grocery store ground beef that was red in the middle, and probably slightly undercooked pork chops. A couple of times I've also cooked grocery store steaks such that they're a hint above raw inside but seared outside.

Don't take this as anything other than an anecdote. Food safety is extremely important to me, but I do get lax at times (mostly with beef - I'll eat a burger with pink inside without any fuss).

I do love me some raw cookie dough, though. Anytime I make chocolate chip cookies I have to eat some of the raw dough.
