look up the word contract. Please post again when you know what one is. A verbal contract that hangs in every taco bells says this. Do you have taco bells in UK? Go to one please and read it.

Yeah, just because somethings written up somewhere dosnt make it legally binding.

Rinaun must give up 50% of his salary to charity and STFU.

By posting again in this thread Rinaun accepts the above as legally binding in all territories.

Also Chrome spell checks your name into Urinal, which is amusing.

Your analogy is not correct. If rinaun himself said he'd give up 50% of his salary if he posts again, then that could be binding. If someone else says it, that doesn't mean shit.

Don't let the retards deter you. You did the right thing. Most of the arm chair whiners would have just on walking past the kid. And taco bell should have redid your food. If anything, they do guarantee satisfaction which you were not. It doesn't matter how the food got cold and if they didn't have shit for brains, they would have remade the food for you because it is the right thing to do.

Honestly, why can't you eat while waiting for the PD/ambulance? What were you guys doing during that time? taking pictures? Shooting the breeze?

Seriously? You're going to eat while there is an unconscious person laying there. The PD/FD proabably came on scence in the average of 8 minutes or less.

OP, I hope your sister's malpractice insurance is paid up.

I only say that because, as your sister's a licensed EMT, she is not covered under any "Good Samaritan" statute your particular state may have, but instead will be required to give care that matches her level of training. Good Samaritan statutes only cover untrained bystanders attempting to render aid, not professionals. And this opens a whole big can of worms in relation to medical professionals and rendering care to strangers on the side of a road, etc.

There have been more than a few cases where medical professionals, MD's, nurses, EMT's, have rendered care to someone and then subsequently get sued because the care rendered wasn't "good enough" or up to professional standards.

I'd advise her to be very careful in the future about rendering aid and especially identifying herself as a trained professional.

Also the cheesy pay urgent care is just that; some hole in the wall really tiny urgent care place that opened recently that you have to pay to get any service/the time of day from them. Not only were they trying to get him there but they were going to drag him across a busy road to do this. This is why we kinda intervened and called 911 for the kid's sake.

I'm surprised there aren't more armchair doctors that have commented on this.

Really, why the hell did you guys stop them from taking the barely conscious guy directly across the street to the doctor? Bad traffic? It was sunny and daylight. You could have helped slow down / hold up traffic to get the kid to the medical professionals with diagnostic tools and pharmaceuticals.

As an EMT with 40? 120? hours of medical training and no equipment, what could your sister have done better than the urgent care facility if he had crashed?

Most urgent care facilities are nothing more than doctors that will see you on sight. At least the ones in Virginia. They can't handle emergency situations usually.

The ones around where I've lived (CA, RI, MA) have had on site blood and urine lab abilities, x rays. At the very least, all urgent care facilities will have a stethoscope.

My main point that I must not have gotten across, was that in addition to having medical equipment, there's a doctor at the urgent care. At the very least 1 year of training, more likely 3 years. And this is 50 week years averaging 60-70 hours the whole time.

This is in contrast to the 2 days a week for 4 months at a community college, or 1 - 3 weeks of intense classroom training to be certified as an EMT.

Want to argue? I don't; have fun :). The OP was just to let people know of the whole situation and not to debate whether you can get a refund (hint: they have to).

For someone who says they still don't want to argue you sure are still arguing a lot. Perhaps there were similar misrepresentations\misstatements in your OP?

Oh and since their return policy isn't a criminal law matter I don't know what you expected the cops to do. You do know what type of laws they enforce right? I've seen plenty of idiots call the cops about disputes with store\company policy and there is nothing they can do unless its a criminal offense. You are just wasting their time.

I think Taco Bell should have remade the food. You did the right thing to try and help him, and while they didn't have to remake the food, it is common courtesy. Hint; they didn't have to.

we didn't want to bother him over 4$ of tacos or drag him away when we can handle it ourselves.

my brother wanted 3$ of tacos remade or instead a refund.

So, was it $4 worth of tacos or $3 worth of tacos? How convenient the amount keeps getting reduced. I bet next it'll be $2 worth of tacos. Also, the dollar sign comes before the numerical amount. Seems your IQ may be as low as the Taco Bell employee. And no, the cops wouldn't be able to force Taco Bell to give you a refund. You must be about 15 years old.

The only people laughing here is me after this dude gets fired and again, me for the amount of retarded responses in this thread. I really do think this forum has taken off to be the bodybuilding forum 2.0 in terms of the retarded responses you get now. You have a small amount of people who actually see what the original post was about and put in valid responses, and a large majority mad over a trivial thing like someone asking for 3$ of tacos to be remade. Its humorous and almost saddening at the same time as I remember ATOT in a more educated, elegant way I guess. Anyways the situation has been handled and frankly half of you scare me with your responses like "leave him alone and let him deal with their problems alone". I hope none of you are incapacitated like the young kid was and want to be left alone to be dragged across a busy street.

When an entire forum seems stupid and retarded, it's probably not the entire forum.

Lot of lurkers lately coming out of the woodwork lately...

I went to Taco Bell just the other day. Instead of meat, they put beans in my tacos. It was surprisingly good. I didn't return to cry about it.

"Taco Bell has a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you purchase an item and are not 100% satisfied with the taste or quality of your food, simply return the uneaten portion to the store where it was purchased with a copy of your receipt, and you are entitled to a 100% refund."

I was refused a refund as well as a remake. That's illegal; even the other Taco Bell we went to was amazed and told us this so it's not like this is some secret thing. you have to refund me if I'm not happy.

Illegal?

ok, wow.

Better write your congressman, bro...shit just got serious.

There is one other poster that always puts the $ after the numbers, I am thinking these may be linked accounts.

Well, I mean after helping the person of course.
There's 3 people there, and only the sister is a qualify EMT, I'm pretty sure her and Rinaun could handle it. Also, there's not much you can do for a person that's unconscious...
