I think the funniest part is how so wrong you are.

We knew the cop who arrived as a family friend The only reason we didn't grab him from outside (he was filing reports in the car) was we didn't want to bother him over 4$ of tacos or drag him away when we can handle it ourselves. It's the principle and we can handle it other ways IE calling the line and telling them the entire story. We aren't rednecks and it's more satisfying getting you fired and taking a 5$ hit. Only rednecks and honey boo boo get mad over fast food employees
Now I have a real hard time believing your supposed story.....

First of all the COP`cannot make a business redo your order or give you new food!!
The cops have no jurisdiction over that business as it relates to running the business!!
I do not feel sorry for you-- the COP was not ever going to get involved in asking the business to redo your food!!

That will never ever happen@!!

Sounds to me like the taco bell employee was trying to help and you antagonized him and now you're all surprised he wouldn't make you a favor.

And WTF is a "cheesy pay urgent care place"?

Seriously... "some 18 year old kid" working a minimum wage fast food job, probably his first ever, who doesn't have well developed crisis management, customer service, or PR skills. My goodness...

He was 25-35 and was stupid enough to see 3 people arrive in the same car yet ask me if I knew her. Like, he knew and acknowledged beforehand that we came together. I stressed low IQ to make it not seem like someone sane refused me service.

The taco bell employee shouldn't be helping by trying to wave fucking hand sanitizer in the dudes face. If anything he should of called 911 and went back inside, but apparently they couldn't even do that since he had been out for 30 minutes outside and nobody called during this time period. Also the cheesy pay urgent care is just that; some hole in the wall really tiny urgent care place that opened recently that you have to pay to get any service/the time of day from them. Not only were they trying to get him there but they were going to drag him across a busy road to do this. This is why we kinda intervened and called 911 for the kid's sake.

Why in gods name would you call a cop to have a fast food place redo your food? You call them to make sure the establishment gives you a REFUND. I'd have a cop show up to force the establishment to give me a REFUND on a BAD PRODUCT that I haven't even touched. You can do this if your request isn't ludicrous like asking for a refund on a taco from 4 days ago. I think asking for a refund regardless of the reason 30 minutes after purchase is entirely acceptable.

Reread the OP. Infer from that what his attitude likely was towards those "low-IQ" trash of society he looks down upon.
Uh, read above. The guy was obviously not firing on 6 cylinders. I didn't mention race or if he was poor. He's just not on the level of ivy league student which is fine, until you openly insult my family then refuse to do basic service because you want to show how in control of the situation you are.

a 25-35 working at Taco Bell is probably down on his luck, has no other choice, and may have a family to support. the man is trying, give him a break and be thankful you aren't in that position.

Uhhh, I don't think the cops have to at all... but that's just me.

I hope you would never ACTUALLY call the cops over a fast food order.

Nah more class than that. It's just funny how many people on this forum armchair and try to think their interpretation of how things work is "the way". In my experience, most fast food places will give you a refund if you don't insult them....which we never did once. I've had to get remakes on food before for my siblings because of allergies (in-n-out putting a burger RIGHT on top of steaming fries) and most of the time if we ask for things to be done it just gets done because nobody really gives a fuck about 3 tacos or a burger and fries in the long run.

This is also why I'm amused at how many people on this forum obsess over the "trading cold tacos is bullshit lame" angle. It's almost 4chan-level obsession over such a small tiny part of the original post. Don't mind he called a customer hitler and crazy, then just refuses service when you turn and tell the person he's talking about what he said. Again, the gentleman wouldn't even give me his managers number. Another lady had to cut him off and print me out the number since she knew I wasn't leaving without a number.

As far as the cops getting involved with the refund of the food, it's a civil issue, not a criminal one. The cops wouldn't do anything except make sure things were handled calmly. The police can't and don't force companies to refund anything. Strictly between you and the company.

And you should know, as a presumably "high IQ" person, that people commonly ask rhetorical or "dumb" questions they know the answer to in order to break the ice, or to approach a subject tactfully.

The fact that you don't understand this, your lack of empathy towards untrained employees/people in a crisis situation, and the reaction of the Taco Bell employees (according to you, at least)... Well, I'll let others infer what they will.

Edit: Oops, I screwed up: I misread the 18 year old kid as the employee instead of the victim. So he's 25-30, which suggests that he's had some life experience and not as naive.

Now I'm more curious about his side of the story...

Half of your post was about not getting fresh tacos. How is that a tiny part of the original post?

You were arguing with the guy over a food item that is served lukewarm to begin with. Think about it for a minute...

Just because you want to ignore real life and how it works is cool. I tried finding the article that states they have to refund you but I have a feeling it's going to drag this convo in the entirely wrong direction. Just know that the cops side with the consumer as long as they aren't Batshit insane and asking for stuff. FYI, the cop was still there but I didn't bother involving them over such petty stuff.

What? That video is completely different from your situation. You got your food. That guy never got his food and they refused to give him his money back.

The thread should be renamed -- Rinaun Stupidity!!

The only people laughing here is me after this dude gets fired and again, me for the amount of retarded responses in this thread. I really do think this forum has taken off to be the bodybuilding forum 2.0 in terms of the retarded responses you get now. You have a small amount of people who actually see what the original post was about and put in valid responses, and a large majority mad over a trivial thing like someone asking for 3$ of tacos to be remade. Its humorous and almost saddening at the same time as I remember ATOT in a more educated, elegant way I guess. Anyways the situation has been handled and frankly half of you scare me with your responses like "leave him alone and let him deal with their problems alone". I hope none of you are incapacitated like the young kid was and want to be left alone to be dragged across a busy street.

P.S. I'm not even going to respond to anymore posts about the tacos being remade because people with half a brain realize its a simple request and even an uneducated employee would realize that it's just reasonable to have them remade. I'd eat cold tacos and that's not the point however, it's the point he refused service. Yes, it's not illegal to refuse service but it is illegal to refuse a refund in this case. Want to argue? I don't; have fun :). The OP was just to let people know of the whole situation and not to debate whether you can get a refund (hint: they have to).
