Very strange...the thought of going in and asking for free food after that would have never crossed my mind.

I will say though - surprised that they turned you down

I even stated in the call I made to a wonderful CS rep named angelica that I want NO discounts coupons or anything like that; I just want it handled. It's all based on Principle. I just don't think it was right what he did.

Yeah that's why I'm surprised they said no unless it was a huge order or something which doesn't sound like it was

LOL

A cop is not going to get involved in your little taco dispute.

Don't be so sure. I had a lady call the cops on me cause she said I started working in her neighborhood 10 minutes too early. He came out and spoke to her then me, of course he left without doing anything, but still, he showed up.

Just because you want to ignore real life and how it works is cool. I tried finding the article that states they have to refund you but I have a feeling it's going to drag this convo in the entirely wrong direction. Just know that the cops side with the consumer as long as they aren't Batshit insane and asking for stuff. FYI, the cop was still there but I didn't bother involving them over such petty stuff.

This "convo" was going in the wrong direction from the original post, because it had only to do with you patting yourself on the back for what you think was some kind of heroic deed. Maybe you should call the local newspaper.

You're beyond clueless if you think a cop was going to get your tacos remade. You sound like that idiot who called 911 from McDonalds because they ran out of Chicken McNuggets.

Hey guys. Had an incident happen today that really blows my mind.

Some 18 year old kid was unconscious outside Taco Bell as me, my brother and sister were leaving the parking lot; we got out of the car instead of leaving and laid him down/called paramedics instead of letting his friends take him to some cheesy pay urgent care place across the street. We stayed until the FD took him off plus we answered some questions from the PD/FD. During this whole ordeal a (noticeably low-IQ) Taco Bell Employee came out with a rag soaked with hand sanitizer to "wake him up". We told him NO and never to suggest that again.

After the police left, my brother's food was obviously cold so we went inside to ask for a remake. The employee from before immediately asks me if I know the red haired crazy lady (my sister) out front. I blow it off and he goes "yeah shes all like Hitler EMT etc" and I tell the guy well yeah, that makes sense because shes actually a qualified EMT. I then tell my sister what he said in front of the employee while my brother asks another employee for his food to be remade. The retarded employee cuts in and refuses everything else we asked of him just out of spite, including manager number. He obviously had an IQ issue as we all arrived in the same car and he kinda saw this; why shoot yourself in the foot by even saying something like to a customer?

Anyways just wanted to let some people know about that experience today. Was sure weird and super annoying.

Now that we've established that the kid has a low-IQ...

Wait.. low IQ at Taco bell?

Seriously... "some 18 year old kid" working a minimum wage fast food job, probably his first ever, who doesn't have well developed crisis management, customer service, or PR skills. My goodness...

OK, I agree with that, if it's their policy then you are within your right to bother them about it.

But illegal?

lol

Are you suggesting that you didn't take Taco Bell Law in law school? How did you pass the bar exam without it?

I think the part you're missing is how you guys told off the employee that was trying to be 'helpful". Even if what he was going to do was more harm than good, your reaction to him probably cheesed him off enough and then asking him to remake your food is adding insult to injury. Also you realize you're dealing with someone that works at Taco Bell, typically it would not be someone who is beyond getting back at you at the potential cost of their job.

In any case, if you picked up on the first part, I wouldn't even bother asking for them to remake your food because they're probably going to fuck with it and I'm surprised they didn't.

Next time eat your food then help, sounds like a win win.

better yet, eat food while helping. But be sure to brush off any of your drippings that fall onto the unconscious teenager before the EMT arrives.

Don't let the retards deter you. You did the right thing. Most of the arm chair whiners would have just on walking past the kid. And taco bell should have redid your food. If anything, they do guarantee satisfaction which you were not. It doesn't matter how the food got cold and if they didn't have shit for brains, they would have remade the food for you because it is the right thing to do.
Holy shit. If someone assisted someone like that on the property of the restaurant I worked at, we'd give the person a free meal to thank them for being a good samaritan on our property. To refuse to replace you food with fresh food? What asswipes.

Not really, I'm more amazed someone would suicide their job so hard but then again it's taco bell so go figure.

I cant beleive that this TB employee would railroad his promising career in fast food sales over something so petty. He may never get another minimum wage job serving food over a counter, ever again! Whatever will he do if he gets the sack. Poor kid.

Ya... I would too, but would your 18 year old self do that after the good Samaritan keeps reminding you what an idiot you are?

Reread the OP. Infer from that what his attitude likely was towards those "low-IQ" trash of society he looks down upon.

Coincidentally, asswipe is what taco bell usually looks like...

Had you not butted in and allowed the dudes friends to take him across the street to urgent care facility it would have been a win/win!! The dude gets treated by competent Doctors and you all have hot food!!

sure they are asswipes. but after reading his post? fuck him. he seems like a little shit

any place would redo the food. BUT they are under obligation to do it. claiming the 100% satisfaction as a reason to eat it? it does not cover you sitting on your ass and waiting 30+ minutes.
