Thanks for the heads up amdfanboy

I have added my signature as well

I spend a lot of time searching other forums for coding answers, only because it's very hard to sift through the gaming, virus etc... posts to get to the actual coding tips and solutions.

I would appreciate it very much if this was done as I could learn much from the talent on these forums, from folks and personalities I have come to know. (I find it easier to trust answers from folks that have proven they know than to spend hours trying out tips that may or may not work.)

Thank you guys for taking the time to put this together.

Mike

 to everyone who has signed the petition. Mods said no to starting a thread outside of FI about the petition, so spread the word via PM to others who may not frequent Forum Issues.

Seriously, how hard can this be? I can't imagine that there is a whole lot to creating a new forum.

Let me lay it out in a way that might be more convincing to those who have the ability to make it happen.

Programmers like to talk to other programmers about programming. There are many, many programmers among Anandtech Forums members and visitors. If you provide a programming forum that is easier to use, more programmers will talk about programming on Anandtech Forums. That means more page views, which means more ad views, which means more ad clickthroughs, which means more revenue for the site. Also, and this is a critical point that is to be ignored at your own peril: Programmers make more money than the average person, which means they have more money to spend than the average person, so why not let them do it through your site instead of someone else's?

Seems pretty obvious to me. If there's something I'm missing here, feel free to educate me.
