I am going to keep S/W clean until the programming is spun off from gaming.

Then the kiddies can reap what they sow.

Video can have all the opinions they want

I swear the Anand got back to the OP sometime around 2005 (at least according to the edit timestamp at the bottom).

That's long...

Why is there so much undue resistance to this from the AT overlords? I enjoy recreational programming and I have to do various stuff for work. I would find it VERY useful to have it split out from 'OMG! SOME GUILD JUST WRECKED OUR VILLAGE IDIOT!!' or whatever the latest MMRPG fad is.

Games & programming? I don't get it.

Can I get a lucid Mod response?

We would like this implimented also.

However, such a decision/implimentation is beyond our pay grade. :(

The OP updated it, Anand says yes, just not when.

that was more than 1.5 years ago

wow time flies

What's funny is it only takes a few clicks of the mouse to create another category in the admin section.

it may be that easy, but there's db considerations and setup that probably has to be done and other bugs that probably take higher precedence, like search. What I don't understand is why they can't rename an existing category like "peripherals" into "programming"? It has only like 400 more posts than Forum Issues. No one's gonna miss the Peripherals category. Just delete those old posts, and start over from scratch. ;)

I'm all for this, and it would also be nice to actually have the games threads put into the GAMES forum, but those rules don't seem to be enforced...

"There is a cave. Inside this cave there is a level where no elevator can go and no stair can reach. This level is filled with doors. These doors lead to many places. Hidden places. But one door is special. One door leads to the Source."
