Give it a bit more time, probably mid summer (July), just a guess on my part.

They have to get together and plan the changes before execution.

Just give them some time...

Here's the potential problem:
The moderators would have to take all the Programming threads in the Programming/Games/Software forum, and move them over to the other forum, and that guys, is hard and time consuming.

Meh. They can just leave the posts where they are. It's not too important where the archived threads are.

We already discussed this, and I already presented a VERY simple solution that would only take a couple of minutes for the admin.

We, the general population, would be tasked with "tagging" every programming related thread with a keyword, something that would not normally be typed in a thread. I.E. "**MarkedAsProgrammingOnly**123**"

Then all the admin has to do is a run a simple SQL Statement that Updates the Forum ID of any thread that has the given string in it.

I say just start the new forum and let new threads go there.
On a case by case basis, move the active programming related threads to the other forum.
