Did all my shopping at Costco. Went to Costco around 9:30am to buy the $999 42" Vizio plasma for my bedroom. No lines and no wait. Came back home and relaxed and ordered the $599 32" Spectre LCD TV from Costco online as a present for my mom. Enjoyed the leftovers and watched couple movies on my new TV.

Got a C2D E6400 and an MSI 945P mobo at frys for 274, with a MIR for $15
Also scored 2 sets of sheets at Target for cheap.
No extreme camping, but the line to check out at Fry's was like a half hour long. 🙁

I was working. But I walked over to the circuit city around the corner on a break and got an Xbox 360 with a free game. No camping, no stress, just walked over there at 9:00am and got my 360.

Yesterday about 8AM (I was up anyway) I went to Staples and got the Palm that was on sale for 149 with a free keyboard. I needed it anyway, nice price. No lines, quick in and out. Went to the Radio Shack next door and my son got a 7 inch DVD player for 59. They were probably cheaper somewhere else, but he likes it and it was easy.

Then we had a nice diner breakfast.

I went to BB and two 100 packs of DVD-Rs for $5 each, and two for movies (Beautiful Mind and Fight Club) for $5 each. I mainly went to hang out with some friends and get drunk.

I scored some $$$ in my bank account that wouldn't be there otherwise had I joined the BF madness. I've got all I need, anything else is really luxury.

Plan C is staying up late early in the morning on BF and ordering online. That's what I did; scored some cheap GPS units. Grabbed a Nintendo Wii during the daylight hours (plus a full set of controllers), other misc. electronics; spent $1400 total. Not bad, but I could've done a little more damage if the register lines were shorter.

office depot

Lenovo C2D Laptop $599.99 AR
targus laptop mouse $3.99 AR
linksys G wifi router $19.99 IR

best buy

2x targus notebook carrying case + free notebook mouse $19.99 IR/each

one for me and one for my father, who has the HP laptop from last year's BF sale.

Also had plan C going at CC and got 3x 1GB SDcard $3aMIR, 3x 1GB Thumbdive $4aMIR, and 250GB External HDD for $40aMIR

I don't get how you got all those LCDs w/out waiting in line.

Camped out at the Santee Best Buy with GF, she really wanted the Westinghouse 32" LCD, we got there @ about 11PM there was about 100 people ahead of us. She got the last voucher they had, but it was for the 42" Westinghouse, so she got that. Then got a 27" Westinghouse with tuner for and a 22" Westinghouse LCD monitor all for like $1900 out the door. I think the 27" was overpriced, same price as the 32" which they were out of, but came with a Tuner. People were running for the 22" monitors. I waited with her for 6 hours and didn't get sh!t, maybe since she already has a nice LCD she'll slide me the 22" 🙂

Woke up at 8 AM
Went to Home Depot, scored nothing (no condo key copy, or airfilter)
Went to Target, scored toothpaste, shampoo, cannister for kitchen utinesils (regular price), and crock pot ($20 instead of $30)
Went to CompUSA and got JVC noisecancelling headphones (last ones - $40 instead of $80)
Went to Macy's, bought a new jacket for $120 (normally $200)
Went to Eckerds and got teeth whitening kit for $12 (normally $25)
Went to Ace Hardware, finally found a place that could make copies of my condo keys, sadly no airfilter here either
Went to Publix, got eggrolls for pot luck dinner

Went home and watched Aggies beat Texas!

Black Friday deals are only hot if your time is worth nothing.

GF saved a bundle, $$$$ bucks, she waited for 6 hours. Ended up saving $1040 off BB'
s normal prices, and probably $750 off on-line prices. I know nobody personally who makes even close to that kind of money in 6 hours. And people who were there who got more then a couple items (she got 3) saved even more.

My time is worth money and if you play your cards right with BF deals, you can save tons of cash *shrug*

I mean it was 6 hours of sitting there drinking soda and chatting, was boring as hell but the end result was wonderful. And mind you we didn't really plan anything, just drove to a BB and waited.
