Look, we can't all sit here and speak without bias. Many of you who are non-white consider this to be a huge racial issue, and I'm sure I'd probably feel the same if I wasn't white. However, comparing OKC bombing to our current threat level is absurd. OKC was an isolated incident, and the FACT was we DID have intelligence and undercovers in numerous militias and had been following this stuff for years. Problem is you can't stop two crazy people from doing something like this if they have the skill. Look at Eric Robert Rudolph and what he was able to do. Questioning the guy based on appearance is unfortunate, but I've yet to see the argument against it. If they were investigating Klan rallies they wouldn't be stopping anyone who wasn't white. If they were looking for two black males that robbed a bank they wouldn't be stopping people who were white. I have no problem with pointing out other examples of non-muslim/brown/whatever terrorist, but it is being very dishonest. Even though there have been other suspects and terrorists, the main threat to the US in form of terrorism is from Middle-Eastern males and/or those who look similar to them. I'm sorry, but that's just how it is. It doesn't mean we should hassle people or make them feel like sh!t though.
We all have a bias in this discussion, but some people are losing it (digdug) and starting to engage in behavior that they are speaking against(in some manner). There is no way to take bias out of security. It is security and not science. I profile everyday at work when it comes to certain things. I know who is most likely to what behavior. It isn't because I'm purposely picking on certain people, but you notice a pattern. In my industry older white people are more likely to complain. I've noticed other things as well they are based on age, race, and gender. Culture, gender, and socio-economic status ARE big determiners for people's behavior. That's a fact.
