I think I figured out your problem.
reset your port forwarding to 5516-5517. instead of 5517-5517
I just tried mine at 5517-5517 and it stopped working
reset to 5516-5517 and it worked again..

Paf,

Why don't you uninstall SetiQ and try reinstalling it in the morning. If after that it doesn't work, then point your machines at my queue crazee.d2g.com:5517. I will be happy to get your units to Berkeley. :)

Hi all, sorry for the other post!! Just got really mad at this.
Really great members helped me for 5 1/2 hours in the middle of the night, I can't thank them enough for their support and Patience!!:D

I removed everything and re-installed, but still no go!

I can connect to Q from my lan, but when I try through the net Http://paf077.dns2go.com, can't connect! This works for many of You it should work here also, there has to be a way!!

note: I even uninstalled zone alarm to make sure it wasn't the problem!

g'morning Paf :)

Are you running WinXP? If you are, goto network connections, right click on local area connection, select properties/ advanced / disable Internet Connection Firewall.
This may be disabled already. This just makes sure :)

I was on the first page taking a gander at your ipconfig. While I'm no expert, something did jump out at me. Your netcard. Its listed as a bridge not a ethernet connector.
It just seems strange to me, bridges are normally just that, they bridge from one type of network to another type. Perhaps, someone with more experience can straighten me out on that. :D

Below is my setup:

I think Gundog may be on to something there with your ipconfig. Here is mine:

If you notice both of ours refer to a local adapter while yours mentions a bridge. I think that may be your problem.

Paf,

We are going to look at a few things:

1) go to your device manager and tell me what it is showing for network adapters.
2) Go to network and dialup connections and tell me what it shows in that folder.
3) Select the one that says local area connection and tell me what it says under connect using:

Gundog's keen eye may have the seen the problem.

Here goes what you asked for

1- Internet Adapters: 1394 net adapter
Mac Bridge Mini Port
Realtek rt8139 pci fast ethernet NIC

2-Network Connections:
a) Lan or High Speed Internet: 1394connection uses 1394 Net Adapter
Local Area Network Uses Realtek rt8139 Pci fast ethernet Adapter NIC

b) Network Bridge : Mac Network Bridge (4) uses Mac Bridge MiniPort

3-Connect using : Realtek rt8139 Fast Ethernet Adapter NIC and onluy TCP/IP is checked in "This Connection Uses"

Bear with me , as i'm not the best at typing!

That's okay, don't worry about typing speed. Now for grins go into the device manager and disable all the network adapters (you shouldn't have to remove only disable) but the Realtek PCI NIC. You will probably have to restart. Then let me know and I will try to hit your queue.

I think that Mac Bridge comes from the router , maybe!

When I check the router stteings, there's aline that says this device usesMac address or something.
