Nobody liked Flynn except for Trump and Bannon. He had few friends and no political capital. It was never going to take much to oust him...it just happened a lot sooner than anybody expected.

Flynn lied to the VP who then went on TV and repeated that lie to the American people. Worse still the fact that he did this was admitted to the president but not the VP until the WP cracked it wide open. The polticial math that Trump needed Pence a lot more than he needed Flynn was really lopsided.

Flynn lying to Pence is the Trump Admin's story & they're sticking to it. Doesn't mean it's true.

Sessions lying to Congress is obviously true, a matter of record, and therein lies the difference.

Under the bus! It's where he belongs.

So you think a Trump surrogate meets with Russian ambassador during the election, which Russia has an intense interest in, and they don't talk about the election? What do you think they discussed, the weather?

That doesn't even matter. Sessions lied about it to Congress.

Sessions deserves his due process and we deserve an in depth investigation into his connections with Russia specifically and the larger questions around Russian involvement with the Trump campaign. His resignation would make both of those things less likely to actually happen politically. It is in the interest of the American people to see justice fully done, so let it be done.

And lets all acknowledge what this info and timing mean ... it's forcing congress' hand in requiring and independent investigation because they weren't going to do it on their own.

Same was said of Hillary and the response was "prove it". Well that was correct. Hillary should not have resigned until evidence of wrongdoing during investigation was found. If it was found that serious legal issues emerged she should have resigned. There were none and she didn't and that's exactly what should have happened and the same standard applied to Sessions or any public official, be it Obama or Bush or Trump- those you love and those you hate deserve an investigation when the situation warrants. Hell, that applies to you and me.

I don't like these people but the "Dreyfus must be imprisoned because we all know he dunnit" mentality? No. Have an independent investigation and determine facts, THEN act as they demand.

Bullshit. Dragging Hillary into it is pure distraction. Certain facts are known.

1. Sessions met with the Russian ambassador in Sessions' office in September.

2. Sessions went out of his way to deny that any such meeting took place in sworn testimony before Congress.

"Investigation" merely delays the inevitable & facilitates disrespect for the DoJ, not to mention our "Law & Order!" President.

The current crop of Republicans has never once done anything because the people want it or because it would benefit the nation, what makes you think even this will force their hand now? They'll continue to do what they always do, whatever is best for the Republican party no matter the cost to the people.

All along the info has been leaked or reported on as the intel community sees that the normal govt. mechanisms are allowed to be ignored or ground to a halt. At a certain tipping point, things just can't be ignored any longer. This latest set of stories is the next step. Probably as a result of the house killing the resolution earlier this week. It'll keep going like this until it's all out there or it causes enough of a stink they lose midterms bigly. Either way, same result. Just more time and more damage done in the interim.

Then here's your noose. Hang him. Well partisans will be partisans. Rights for some, not for others. I expected as much.

If it's not related to the election, how many times has Sessions met with the Russian ambassador in non-election years?
