Sessions outright lied to Congress in sworn testimony. He went out of his way to do it. Anybody who finds that acceptable in our chief law enforcement officer is out of their mind.

Best buckle up. Alternative facts are propelling us into the post-truth void.

How low can you go Trump? I ask this in that Trump has this amazing ability to keep moving the bottom lower and lower away from himself, digging away down into that "Hole of No Return" and taking the nation down there with him.

Look at how the Repubs in both houses are frantically scrambling to cover Trump's foibles to save their own hides? Look at how concentrated the GOP's efforts are at putting out fires that Trump is constantly lighting up in order to take the heat off of himself and especially so the agenda he and the Repubs are feverishly pushing behind the scenes.

In true Scott Walker fashion, sleight of hand politics is what's being plied in the Repub controlled gov't we now have. What needs to be suspiciously kept tabs on is not what the GOP is doing with the hand that they're flailing in accusatory fashion at their cooked up enemies of the state, but what that other mysteriously hidden hand of theirs is doing that they're keeping stuffed in their back pockets.

Somehow, the GOP is going to have to convince the nation that Trump and his minions being in frequent contact with the Russians and Trump admittedly admiring Putin while campaigning for POTUS is no big deal. Somehow the GOP is going to have to convince the nation that Trump is a competent and fully capable president that deserves the complete confidence and trust of the people he was elected to lead, all while this GOP of ours is itself taking a lot of heat over the narrow ideologically dictated road they are taking the nation down.

Good luck with that. The nation has been awoken by Trump's antics and openly divisive style of play. They're paying more and more attention to what Trump and his GOP cohorts in the Legislature are doing to the working class in their efforts to create the plutocracy their sponsors are pushing for.

As an aside I would suspect that Trump's enemies in the GOP itself have much more to gain from Trump's demise than any other entity/organization and therefore much more suspect in this regard. That Trump and the GOP lives or dies together is the only factor keeping these two branches of gov't from slashing each other's throats.
