Just saw the actual clip. This is part of the reason the rest of the first world thinks the majority of Americans are stupid.
He was making a point that eluded the less intelligent among us. But I do enjoy watching the "stupid" among us flail about trying to dishonestly spin his response into something it isn't.

I listed some of the things the left wants to do. Does it really matter whether you personally want to do them if your vote empowers those who do?

You posted some things that an insignificant number of politicians have done or have attempted to do. Politicians on all sides propose and/or attempt to pass legislation that not everyone on "in their camp" or on the other sides has agreed is a solution. It will always be this way until ordinary citizens have either the means or the exact same influence corporate and special interest lobbyists enjoy.

Quality education and due diligence in all societal and political issues is what's needed to keep legislators and individuals in check.

I'm assuming nothing about which way you lean politically as I'm speaking directly to the content of your post. My point was directed at the rationale you used to denigrate Scott Walker on this particular issue. Surely you know that there are legitimate arguments for/against casinos that go well beyond jobs. In Walker's opinion, the negatives outweighed the positives. This is not about hypocrisy as you have framed this. It's more about him approaching a complex issue rationally and making decisions as to what he feels is best for the State. You may not agree with his decision, but that doesn't make him a hypocrite for coming to a conclusion on an issue that you personally don't happen to agree with.

You asked if I care about the poor or if I'm a hypocrite, as if you knew my opinion about it. This isn't that complex of an issue. It's just another example of a conservative who claims he believes in a small government that doesn't intrude, but wants to save us from ourselves with big government intervention, much like the left that he pretends to be different from. I bet his faith played a role in the decision... glad we have Scott Walker and his government to save us from ourselves. Maybe he can ban sugary drinks over 32oz next.

Scott Walker has done unprecented damage to education in Wisconsin. He has set Wisconsin educational policy on a course that will someday land us into the same soup that the Southern states are in. He is an awful human being.

You do realize what he did to the teachers' union don't you?
Wisconsin ACT scores ranked #2 in the nation last year...the sky is not falling.

His point even eluded the moderator, who said, "Any British Politician, right or left wing would laugh and say of course I believe in Evolution".

Is Walker or the GOP paying you to lose your credibility or are you giving it away for free?

I just saw your signature. Just jokes..

Just imagine an admitted and "caught red-handed" Koch Puppet as POTUS. That right there is the epitome of where our nation is headed.....nah, who am I kidding.

We're already there.

Good thing he's not running for office in Britain then heh?

Yes, you obviously think it's a good thing that one of the people who will be running for President in the US is either less intelligent than every other British Politician or wants to cow tow to the most stupid in America to feign being less Intelligent (your pick). Again, you wonder why most outside the US think majority of Americans are stupid.

Wow. I now see that my point flew straight over your head. Unfortunately I don't have the time or desire to explain it any further than I already have. But I'll leave you with a little advice...never loan money to a gambler and always split Aces and Eights. Good luck!

I really don't give a crap what anyone outside the US thinks about us. Let them run their country the way they see fit, we run ours the way we see fit. It has nothing to do with the intelligence of the candidate, it has to do with the way politics work. It's different in different countries.

What do you mean the way politics works? Does politics work differently in the UK?

He believes in Evolution.
http://evolution.about.com/od/Overview/a/President-Barack-Obama-On-Evolution.htm

I mean, it's supposed to be such a silly question that no one would expect any other answer except a laugh and an "of course" (Except if you are a Republican) that no one would really ask (well, again except if you are interviewing a Republican because.. well..look at Scott Walker.. or look at that Repub. Presidential Debate). It's almost like asking if you believe the world is flat.

No where in your link does Obama mention evolution or his belief in it.

You quote Albert Einstein and then are a psychopath for a guy who wouldn't answer the question whether he believes in Evolution. Is that not hilarious to you as well?

He's been ironically quoting einstein for years now. It really needs to stop. Have some respect for the dead, ironically quoting einstein guy! sheeesh

Nope...and I don't find any humor in watching someone draw insane conclusions based on random "facts" either.

He doesn't explicitly mention Evolution but brings up the fact that day he was giving the speech is the Bicentennial of Charles Darwin's birth.

Edit: Here is a quote from his book Audacity of Hope.

"I believe in evolution, scientific inquiry, and global warming; I believe in free speech, whether politically correct or politically incorrect, and I am suspicious of using government to impose anybody's religious beliefs -including my own- on nonbelievers.”

So because Darwin had a birthday, Obama believes in evolution?

I think you made one inference too many. Because he acknowledged Darwin's birthday does not mean he does believe in Evolution. Obama believes in Evolution is a statement you cannot possible backup, let alone know.

A fair question to ask might be why hasn't Obama had to answer this? Is it because he plants audience members to ask prescripted questions? Is it because he is afraid to answer real questions? Is he capable of answering a question honestly?

Walker answered a stupid question the best way he possibly could.

EDIT:

Damn you! Your new quote ruined me using your own quote against you!!!!!

Thanks for the quote.

I guess I'm a little confused (as usual)...where did Walker ever say that he didn't believe in evolution? And as a side note, I understand that there's big push for getting access to his college records. The witch hunt begins.

"we are created by God" implies that he does not believe that humans evolved over millions of years. Yes you could take that statement several different ways, which is probably why he should just give a yes or no answer.

Thanks for the quote.

I read the book and knew that but couldn't remember where it came from. I think whether you believe in evolution is akin to whether you believe the world is round. But, I do agree that they should ask the Democratic campaigns that questions as well. Just to give a fair juxtaposition of the two parties.
