The fat orange orangutan is becoming unglued:
Off-the-Rails President Takes to Twitter in Anti-Semitic and Racist Rant

He calling Nadler and Shiff (both Jewish) and AOC+3 (women of color)-
savages.
"Can you imagine if these Do Nothing Democrat Savages, people like Nadler, Schiff,
AOC Plus 3, and many more, had a Republican Party who would have done to Obama
what the Do Nothings are doing to me. Oh well, maybe next time! "

Jews and women of color "savages". Yeah sounds like Trump

But we are the real racists and anti-Semites for talking about it

“Do nothing” and “savages” seem like contradictory concepts.

Donald really should get an editor to help him refine his blithering idiocy.

Actually..now that I think about it....It's makes perfect sense from Trumpster's POV, and I notice this weird dichotomy when "discussing" things with people from that crowd.

At times they'll say they're a besieged, oppressed group whose noble hegemony is withering away in a culture war they're supposedly losing. Circle the wagons.

Other times they're cocky, chest-beating bullies that are going to kick some ass as their opposition flee in terror at their righteous indignation.

He really wants someone nicknamed “Get Shit Done” investigating him over someone nicknamed “Do Nothing”
I suspect the President had hurt feelings and was a little emotional composing this tweet.

You are a little off target. PCGeek isn’t the one to go after. He is like the 80% majority gun owners.
Fine with consistent background check
Fine with sensible restriction on things like ap bullets/rounds, pump stocks and presumably other stuff that has zero hunting or defense uses.
Pretty sure he’s said he is fine with some kind of limit magazine/clip/whatever
He’s mostly fine with military weapons being banned or more restricted
He is not okay with banning hunting or target stuff. Like shotguns or bolt rifles.

@pcgeek11 correct me if I’m wrong

You are absolutely correct, but as you well know it doesn't matter what I say. Some assholes just love to be assholes.

Shrug.

Now that you bring it up I got a chuckle from that. I guess I have grown numb to his nonsensical blaber but this is like saying lackadaisical berserkers.

I'd be surprised if the whistleblower has anything of value beyond what is already in the report. Unless he or she is willing to identify his or her White House sources for the committee so that they can be subpoened, which I doubt.

I think it's necessary to stay ahead of defenders of Trump from identifying and slandering them without the chance to put out a different narrative before. It's very sad because it demolishes the idea that someone can flag evidence of political corruption without serious personal risk. Honestly, the whistleblower has nothing to do with anything at this point (unless, as you say, they help us identify witnesses or have other evidence not in the report). Once it was deemed credible by the IG, what matters is the contents of the report. None of it is evidence for any action against Trump without other verification. Of course, there has already been significant verification already.

I generally agree but with two important caveats. First it appears likely we didn’t get the full contents of the call with the Ukrainian President. As allegedly Trump pressed him to investigate Biden multiple times and presumably Trump only released the most innocent sounding one there could be something there.

Second, they may he aware of additional misconduct that they felt they couldn’t sufficiently corroborate but might be of interest to the committee as an avenue for further investigation.

Overall though you’re probably right that we shouldn’t expect much.

Yes in many ways I don’t know why the whistleblower is even relevant. Trump already confessed, after all.

It was my understanding that it wasn't just the call but rather other things the admin had already done that added context to the call. I seem to remember reading that most of that had not been released and that's what the whistleblower was actually trying to get through the proper channels (but didn't actually specify that stuff yet as it was bigger than just the impropriety that Turmp and Guiliani were partaking in). Which, even if its just tied to some of the actions we know about (them freezing the aid money prior to the call), it could still provide testimony that Turmp friendly persons knew this was wrong and still carried it out and/or tried to quash it.

I personally have a hunch that there's something to do with Russia here, as in, they probably have some communication between Turmp and Russia that would seem to show Turmp orchestrated all of this not to trash Biden as a potential competitor in the election (like it seems that most are taking it as and I think it was spun into later), but rather is part of Russia's work to undermine Ukraine. Thus it would prove that Turmp is doing activity at the behest of and the benefit for a foreign power (and thus is compromised). I wonder if this might turn into a full blown treason investigation.

Trump is really losing his mind on Twitter tonight. He’s accusing Schiff of treason.

If this is what he’s like now I can only imagine what’s going to happen as this ramps up.

He is retweeting a "pastor" who uses the bible to "fight climate change science", condemns Jews to hell, has stated there is no such thing as separation of church and state.

Here's a NYT article that shows this Ukraine mess starting even further back than when ghouliani started traipsing
around the world as a wannabe diplomat:
How a Shadow Foreign Policy in Ukraine Prompted an Impeachment Inquiry

Looks like the previous Ukraine President was trying to curry favor from cheeto back in March.

"Over several weeks in March, the office of Ukraine’s top prosecutor moved ahead on two investigations of intense interest to Mr. Trump. One was focused on an oligarch — previously cleared of wrongdoing by the same prosecutor — whose company employed former Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr.’s son. The other dealt with the release by a separate Ukrainian law enforcement agency to the media of information that hurt Mr. Trump’s 2016 campaign.

The actions by the prosecutor, Yuriy Lutsenko, did not come out of thin air. They were the first visible results of a remarkable behind-the-scenes campaign to gather and disseminate political dirt from a foreign country, encouraged by Mr. Trump and carried out by his personal lawyer, Rudolph W. Giuliani."

So if Trump were to show up at the Hill with a gun and started shooting, would the secret service stop him or defend him?

It is sad that we have a POTUS so of the rails that this didn't seem like a complete unfathomable situation. Of course, the far greater risk is one of his cult members taking up arms for him...again.
