Say what you will, but Tebow freaking wins.

I don't agree with the many that assert "he is a bad QB." He is a bad thrower, but he is doing outstanding work at everything else that defines the position. Particularly given that the vast majority of inexperienced QBs look like a deer in the headlights the first season or two as a starter. That is, if they last that long.

While it has been termed "Tebow time", the first thing you usually hear from analyst and observers, is how it is a serious team effort, and how the D puts him in position to win. They know he can't carry them, and everyone rallies and steps it up.

I hate me some Broncos; but what is happening with that team right now is pretty damned special. It really does not matter if they don't make the playoffs, or tank hard if they do. It won't diminish the herculean effort they all made, just to be alive in the playoff picture right now.

The key to Tebow's past, current and future success is the fact that he throws very very few interceptions and rarely fumbles the ball. Interceptions are why qb's lose games more often than they win games.

Whatever defense Tebow plays with, there is no doubt that they will love him. They know that if they play well and keep it close, Tebow isn't going to fuck it all up and throw a pick 6. This is the most important thing you want in a qb.

Mid Oct, the Broncos had been written off as making the playoffs, even considering how bad the division was.

Tebow put the spark in them and they now are on top of their division.
They may not make it past the first playoff game; but that is further than they were getting under the previous QBs.

True but he doesn't help the D either when he's only able to generate a single first down in the first half. He may be able to give his D a rest when he's able to drive the ball but he also has 3 quarters of a game generating many 3 and outs.

1. He's a fucking rookie
2. His receiving corp is probably the worst in the nfl
3. He's a fucking rookie

You haters are pathetic. Throwing 1 int in 7 games is AMAZING.

Most rookies throw tons of INT's and ruin games. It doesn't matter if you get a couple first downs if you throw a big INT.

It takes more than a qb to get first downs, score points, and win games. But, a shitty qb will lose you many games by himself. All you have to do to be a "good" nfl qb is to not lose games and let your defense and running game win for you. Tebow is a good qb and will improve after is FUCKING ROOKIE SEASON. He'll never be Peyton Manning, but no one here is claiming that he is or will be.

I knew Tebow would kick ass in the NFL, never a doubt. Knew it when I saw what he was doing at Florida. This season it was just a question of how long it would take. I figured not long... This guy was destined to blow minds, not disappoint.

He was a rookie last year.

That remains to be seen...

I would certainly bet he can not keep this up without improvement. Defenses will learn to play him better and his challenges will become greater. And only until recently has he had relatively high expectations...we'll see if he can handle that without expecting more from himself and trying to do more than he is capable of.

He has done a great job playing 'within himself', and serious props to the coaches for adapting their gameplan/strategies/play-calling accordingly, but if this type of 'turnover ratio' success lasts thru another season, being such a weak thrower, it will probably be a league first.

The funny thing is next season he will go into training camp, once again look worse than atleast one of his qb competitors, and make the coaching staff scratch their heads...yet still be given the starting position. 😀 It's fair to say at this point, this is a pretty irregular situation.

Big fish in small pond applies to both HS and college.

When one hits the equivalent competition; they can easily fold. They do not look so impressive when the competition gets tougher

Very true (Tebow...), but if he's like his father, I'm not sure there is equivalent competition half the time.

and it is hard to throw an INT when you have a game with only 8 attempted passes (that were all short yardage dumps except for one).

And 3/4 of your throws over a few yards are thrown so no one can catch them. Yeah, sure you didn't throw an INT, but on a 15 yard route you throw 15 feet over your receiver's head out of bounds isn't gonna result in any completions either.

Not better than Sanders. My fantasy team will take Sanders over Brown any day given the choice. AP isn't too bad either:hmm:

Fantasy? Who cares about fantasy? AP? Sorry, but you diss Jim Brown and then mention AP? Are you joking?

I'd just go with both. Talk about a change of pace. Sanders will run circles around you and Brown will just run you the fuck over.

and that would be stupid, because sideways yards don't count.
