Picking up Tebow was brilliant, even if he never makes it as a starting QB. He was worth the risk. So much blue sky if he can get things going- far more than your average #25. Far more than your average #1, even. Proclaiming him the new Elway just yet is stupid, but not as stupid as people who mindlessly rag on him when he's just started. He's talented and driven, he's a proven winner, and he still may become a very good QB someday.

At the very worst, he could almost certainly be a starting TE on all but a few teams, and that's worth what they paid. One thing he will almost certainly not be is a complete and total bust. I would probably have taken him earlier than 25 if I could have.

Rocky first half, but looked good after the half. Still hard to say because the Vikings haven't been much this year but Tebow put up a much stronger passing game this go around. I dare say he's actually learning how to be a QB.

Yeah. Was surprised how little he ran this game. Good to see he can actually throw.

Based on this post I'm thinking you may want to ask Florida for a refund on your 4 years of tuition.

This was actually not a bad game passing from him. Of course his running suffered, and let's be honest, its not really a stellar display of passing skill. Good, but great passers do close to that in a half or in the playoffs against better competition. He did bring them back and win it. Against a bad Minnesota team without probably their best player. Still, its a win. I'd say this is the second win that Tebow deserves a fair amount of credit for. The Denver defense didn't play that well but he kept them in the game. He seems to be improving, but again, I wouldn't get too optimistic, and we'll see how he does against better competition.

Yes, and no one gives a FUCK about what he did in college. Barry Sanders was better in college than Tebow and better in the NFL.

149 rating is pretty impressive. They also won by scoring 35 points.

It's obvious what's going on here...hell hath frozen over.

HAHA OH YEAH sanders had ONE good year in college. Tebow was a heisman finalist three times. Should have won atleast 2, but was screwed by the crap 12.

lol sanders what a joke. 0 national championships. Wow didnt expect a barry sanders comparison what a joke

its actaully easier to have perfect passer ratings being a QB like Tebow, its why Ben Roethlisberger has nearly as many "perfect" games as Peyton Manning or more than Tom Brady. When you don't throw the ball more than 30 times and keep your yardage to reception ratio high you can easily balloon your passer rating, although Ben has always been able to throw the ball.

of course its even easier when you play a team like the Vikings and they leave WRs so ridiculously wide open that even a 40% passer like Tebow can't miss :p

I can't wait until you find out he's the AntiChrist and not the Savior. That's not holy water spurting out of your anatomically correct Timmy Tebow doll, you know. ;)

In all seriousness, this run of success he's having makes for great football drama. No matter where you stand on how Tebow's future will play out, this run is fascinating and cool.

But KeypoX really, downing Barry Sanders is not going to help your credibility with any of us. :colbert:

lol, he was only a starter for his last season, which was easily the greatest single season in NCAA history, justifying him leaving before his senior season for the NFL, unlike Tebow who knew he wasn't cut out for the NFL and stayed his senior season to rack up stats against your relative tard-o college defenders before getting drafted by equally tard-o McDaniels (who was promptly fired for being an inept coach)

also, ask how important NCAA championships are to Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, Ben Roethlisberger, Eli Manning... ;)

It's all relative...

What's more impressive, a 150 rating for Manning, or a 150 rating for Tebow? In some ways it's debatable because Manning is a qb god who's commands much higher expectations, and Tebow can barely throw a spiral down field.

Both qb's have offensive schemes built around their ability or lack of, and that's important, but I'd have to say Tebow's rating today is probably more of a shocker than if Manning put up the same against a sh!tty defense with 45 throws. Tebow only threw it 15 times, but for such a sh!tty thrower, none were picked and he got 2 td's out of his 10 completions.

I'm not suggesting Tebow is excellent etc., just that he has been an excellent 'Tebow'...meaning for his weaknesses, he has still found a way to be very effective, and he has avoided mistakes that are normally inevitable for a young qb with a rather noticeable 'handicap', particularly in crunch time.

Yeah... I think LeBron wins a ring with the Heat this season, so we'll see if Tebow can win it all this year ;)
