3.8 on the 1700 at 1.36 volts (with stock cooler)

CPU LLC set to mode 3

2667 for the RAM 16-18-18-36 at 1.35 volts (Corsair Vengeance 16GB, 3200 Mhz)

Motherboard: MSI X370 SLI PLUS

Can run the RAM at 2927 now after boosting the NB voltage to 1.225

Asus Crosshair VI Hero BIOS 1002
Ryzen 7 1700X
GSkill F4-3200C16D-32GVK (16-18-18-38) 4 x 16GB
Corsair H110i AIO quiet

Stress test using Aida64 v.5.90.4200, open bench for now
Using LLC level 3, manual voltage in BIOS
SOC voltage 1.13v (auto), PLL 1.8v
CPU at 3993 at 1.475v crash, 3963 at 1.45v error after 12 hrs, 3933 at 1.4v still testing (most likely stable, will bump back to 1.45v if not)
CPU crash at 3900 1.45v using Intel Burntest (My Haswell can't pass this test due to heat anyway but have been using it all this time)

Memory max out at DDR2400 by default. Using DOCP 1 BClck at 122, running 4 x 16GB dual rank Hynix Ram at 2928 14-14-16-34-57-2T currently. Have to raise the mem voltage to 1.4v for tRCD to hit 14. Fail testing at 3000 at relaxed timings, cannot boot reliably after 3120, cannot post at >3160.

Will probably stick with these settings until May BIOS update.

Custom loop with heatkiller Pro IV block. CPU temp to be about mid 40s under load but not done much testing yet.

Work in progress, waiting for a bios that has options!

Where did you get a F3 revition, for AB350M? I cannot see it on their page. :(

EDIT: are thouse single rank samsung B RAM?

I sent a moany e-mail to them yesterday and they attached it in their replay

I think so, on one occasion they did work at the intended speed, then I got a boot loop on next reboot and it they won't budge now :(.

if you look at your serial no-

xxxx-A5xx-xxxx -- samsung
xxxx-A4xx-xxxx -- hynix

Ach!! 0515 bios for the prime x370 pro fixed temp reporting in most applications, not Ryzenmaster, but no improvements in memory. Still stuck at 2400. I am thinking that my ram will never do better than 2400. This Corsair Dominator Platinum is dual rank and uses micron ICs so no matter what Corsair says I doubt it will ever exceed its current specs. I will wait it out another month or so then I'm shopping for new ram.

I am using the beta BIOS F3c which I downloaded before it was taken down. I am also using the AB350M. I have not tried OCing my 1700 yet, but I did get my RAM to run at 2933MHz by playing with/loosening timings. Seems to work fine and be stable. I am hoping for more bios updates soon. Do you know if the F3 is better than the F3c beta bios they had up? Also, is the wraith cooler sufficient for an OC?

Any of the BIOSes with letters after the version # are beta BIOSes. Once they go out of beta they become official, meaning a F3c --> F3 progression. Or at least they do for some of the other boards (e.g. Gaming 3 --> F6g --> will become F6 when official). They released new betas but no love for your AB350M yet:

3.8ghz on 1.35v on custom water. not claiming any extended stability however, as my build is still somewhat conflicted.

4.0ghz was working well on about 1.38v but the computer failed to shut down properly. may have been linked to the memory speed, though.

I am settling for my current OC,

3.9 GHz @1.344v (as read by CPUz and Asrock) 1.35v set in bios and LLC level 3.
3200 CAS 14
Temperatures in Aid64 Stability test (everything checked except GPU & Local Disks) are 63C with Noctua D15.

I might try to tinker some more when new bios updates come along.

CPU

1700 @ 3900 MHz

LLC level 3

1.35v

DDR4

TridentZ 4000 MHz @ 3200 MHz

14-14-14-34

1.368V

VDDCR_SoC 1.104v

VDDCR_SoC LLC = Level 5

i did notice that my board BIOS was reporting lower actual voltages than what I set... which is fine. i guess some users are having a little luck with running faster memory by upping NB voltage but I've been there done that--as it's my usual go to for when a system fails to boot. I haven't touched LLC though due to being unable to confirm the levels on this board.

Well my Gskill Flare X 3200 ram (8gx2) model F4-3200C14D-16GFX was delivered this morning and worked like a charm in my C6H mb. I replaced the TridentZ which was rated 3200 BUT CL 16 with this and WOW! I booted in stock mode, let it go into Win 10, restarted went into the BIOS and just enabled D.O.C.P. standard. I set the 4Gh OC profile and POW! Worked like a charm.
Here is original run with ram at 2133:

Here are the benchmarks I reran with the FlareX ram:

Im still messing around with the OC but for now have settled at 3.9Ghz, it will game and benchmark @4ghz but fails prime in the first 20-30 min. Ill revisit this when my new ram shows up.

To get 3.9Ghz im using:

CPU voltage 1.3V set in bios(reads 1.35v in windows with cpuz)
Level 2 LLC
There is a CPU socket amperage % that you can set from 100% to 140% in bios, i set it to 120%.
SOC is on auto voltage and its running .95V
Ram is 3000mhz Gskill ripjaws4 running @ 2666Mhz 16-15-15-15-35@ 1.3V

Temps stay below 65C under my DH-15

Im using corsair link, it shows the same temps as Hwmonitor and ryzen master, as well as telling me my power consumption from the wall, power to the PC on each rail, and PSU efficiency, CPU voltage, pretty much shows everything. Im really liking the Corsair RMi line of PSU's.

After my most recent bios update my corsair link app and Asus app started reporting temps correctly. Ryzen master still reporting the +20 temps though.

Is 1730 a good cinebench score? I have looked all over, but I cannot find any cinebench OC scores.

Setup:

Asus CH6 (1002 bios)

Custom watercooling

Ryzen 1700@3.7Ghz

16GB Trident 3200 CL14 -GTZ

CPU Voltage (HWinfo, CPU-Z, and AI Suite): 1.19V at idle and 1.15V under load

Temp under load: HWinfo = 39; AI Suite = 43

Memory – 2133Mhz@15-15-15 timings for now

Stability Testing: 8hrs of Prime95, 1hr of Realbench, and 100 passes of IBT

I’ve been playing around with my 1700 at stock voltages to see what it would do and I’ve been impressed so far. I think I will start hitting a wall if I go any higher as 3.0-3.7 seems to be the sweet spot for Ryzen. I’m hoping for 3.9Ghz at somewhere around 1.36-1.38V when all is said and done.
