Honestly just tell him "Yes, no problem. They are in Luhansk oblast. Send military aid plz"
I agree.
There is ZERO reason not to agree to something you're already losing. If it means reclaiming it + your future.
And once the future is secured, there is always another deal to be struck with someone else.

Buys time to join NATO, or develop nuclear weapons. Do anything and everything to get the time that is needed.

So give them a nuclear weapon and be done with it.
Or turn the temp up on the frog water. Announce technical help for Ukraine to develop their own nuclear arsenal. Builds pressure for longer without a direct nuclear threat.

I'm sure Ukraine can do the work themselves, but the fact that they would have the support of the USA in this work would add extra spice to the announcement.

Sort'a reminds me of how North Korea acquired it's nuclear arsenal without starting a war over it. Don't know if there's an actual similar scenario of which Ukraine could duplicate, or what would happen if Zelenskyy announced their intention to start development of a nuclear deterrence or was nearing completion of one and what Putin would do in response, given the appearance that Ukraine was doing it without outside help from NATO or from other democracies not in the alliance.

Pretty sure Russia would say that Ukraine using that nuclear weapon would be viewed as equivalent to the US using it and for once I would agree with Russia.
Hardly, the US isn't at war with Russia, they'd just be using one more weapon that was given to them. Hell, try proving it even came from us. Call their fucking bluff.

-Ukraine would need to have an actual functional nuke before telling anyone about it. Not having that functional nuke just puts a countdown clock on top of Russia to use one of their own first or risk losing the war.

Makes me wonder if Ukraine is actually pursuing that at this very moment in time.

It's very hard to enrich uranium without anyone finding out... That said it's not impossible. They've been working on very technical stuff, and they certainly could manage it quietly if they tried I bet. If they are not, it's probably because they agreed to it as part of negotiations for weapons with the US (and maybe others).

Aye. Call their bluff.

The Russians have given their opinion on this nuclear matter...

French Defense Minister says that Mirage 2000-5Fs have been delivered to Ukraine. Most people think this first batch is 3-4 frames with more to come. These were modified by Dassault for air to ground attack capability.

France is retiring the Mirage as Rafale production continues. They should have a fair number of these to spare.

Ukraine also says they have received more F-16s from the Netherlands.

Some reports they are still flirting with Gripen too. Ultimately they are going to need a lot of frames to replace the ex-soviet stuff which has to be way tf over hours and have availability problems. Getting three countries to compete for that business is probably a good idea.

The Russians are in the same boat with the VKS thought to only be at 75% strength now and hours climbing on all their airframes with no end in sight.

Spicy happenings in Kursk. Ukraine is taking more land.
Russian forces reached Sudzha from the flank.
Ukraine is trying to hold onto the last piece of land by knocking the Russian offensive off balance.
Russia's numbers and the laws of attrition means Ukraine's time in Kursk is limited. Hope they make the most of it.

Indeed, they want to pull a Thermopylae situation on it. A defeat with a massive cost. The issue? If Russia somehow receives help, they might counter and directly attack Kiev since they would already have enough forces to pull a direct attack. Is a very delicate situation.

There is a large distance from Kursk to Kyiv.
