My apologies. I just broke a few ribs and have little patience for him. I apologise. I will step aside for a week. I apologize to anyone I offended other than senseamp.

..

Are you my brother-in-law? He just fell off his deck and broke his hip as well as a few ribs...he's a retired wood tick.

Some how you found a way to say criticize the Biden administration despite the previous administration drinking Putin's kool-aid and asked for seconds. I am not even talking about back then, I am talking about now. Trump still sucking Putin's dick, while his former advisor is saying we should let Putin invade Ukraine and take whatever he wants on Fox News. Ukraine said to go fuck yourself.

Who else can stop the purchases of Russian Oil?

The previous administration is irrelevant in this. By the way I do not agree with Trump or his advisors and Pomeo....

If they need a lift deny them SpaceX and suggest a good trampoline brand.

All this political bullshit needs to be kept out of the ISS/space biz. Out people atlre too dependent on each other while they're up there...and it wasn't THAT long ago, our astronauts depended on the Rookies for a ride into space...
Wanna hack their spy satellites? OK,. But I think it's setting a bad prescedent.

What the Russians don't have is very much of anything other than nukes and old armor.

We need to very carefully time a message of food and fuel for peace. Stability for peace.
If we do it too soon, they'll think we are blackmailing them.
If we do it at the correct time, they'll appreciate the exit ramp.
If we wait too long, you'll have a nice bright flash in the sky.

I do not envy the White House right now.

Think they'll learn how to fuel their armor by then?
At this point, the only thing that could even harm NATO is nukes. Their army is completely obsolete. I just wish it did not come at the expense of 44 million Ukrainians to prove that point.

If it wasn't for nukes, the Russian offensive would already be over. Victory ours. Instead we play idle while a madman slaughters millions. It is sickening. But conventionally, zero threat to us.

Oh don't worry, NATO doesn't matter to the US. It'll be "we will not get involved in Europe's war" right until the fucking second they declare war on you. Then you'll arrive late and proclaim you did everything...

As per fucking usual.

We need a EU military force that can step in, one big enough to be too fucking painful for Russia OR the US to face. I mean, half of the time you elect a fucking retard like GW who invades soverign nations on a demonstrable lie and sometimes you just elect fascists like Trump. Do you really think Trump would engage if Russia invaded Germany? Nah.

And we would like to thank the US and Russia for showing us the light on that fucking part. Now if you could just both become isolationist nations that we didn't have to fucking deal with we'd ALL be grateful. No genociding people though... Neither of you.

That was a time limited measure. Not to defend it in the least, but it wasn't typical of the Soviet army in WW2 either.

Yes, I realize that the "stand fast" Order No. 227 was issued to hold onto Stalingrad. However, the practices described (including the use of penal battalions and blocking detachments) were fairly common practices used by the Soviet army before and after Stalingrad. More so in the earlier desperate years of the war and less so once the tide turned in their favor.

Jesus FUCKING Christ, 'muricans are fucked in the skull to no avail.

Ukraine will fall, you do fucking get that, they will fight back which means that the casualties will be in the hundreds of thousands and you are arguing about ancient fucking history?

No fucking wonder Putin thinks you'll do nothing, you are stuck in ancient times.

What's got you so enraged? Did you break some ribs too?

Wasn't it you that just made a sideways reference to World War II? And now that's irrelevant "ancient history"?

And speaking of "ancient history", European countries haven't done much to help the world with hundreds of years of colonialism and managing to start two world wars. Sorry you are uncomfortable in the passenger seat now, but frankly no one else wants to see you in the driver's seat again.

God forbid people know history, especially that deals with the fighting culture of their enemies.

If it makes you feel better, Nukes have saved millions of lives by preventing WW3 and probably WW4.

It sucks, but not getting into a nuclear war is better for everyone on the planet, including the Ukrainians.

Russia will likely take over Ukraine after suffering massively losses. Their reward will be an economy in shambles and an endless insurgency.

The people of Ukraine and Russia will suffer due to the ego of one piece of shit, yet around the world, including the US, people just like him are being elected into office.

One thing that every American gun owner must admit, that what is happening over in Ukraine pretty much justifies over here our insane devotion to guns and to gun ownership and... the need to own as many guns as possible and guns as big as possible. Many gun owners over here believe in guns to protect against their own government, fearing that one day the government will come after them. One major reason so many Americans believe in guns and believe in owning assault weapons is this fear and illusion that Americans will need those guns to fight a government out of control.

Again.... just look at Ukraine. The guns are what the Ukrainians are using to fight against a government threat. Not a threat from the Ukraine government, but the threat from the soviet government. And so, any typical American gun owner can now say SEE, IF NOT FOR GUN OWNERSHIP HOW WOULD THE UKRAINE PEOPLE PROTECT THEMSELVES? And... IT WAS ESSENTIAL FOR THE PEOPLE TO OWN GUNS. UKRAINIANS NOW HAVE A FIGHTING CHANCE WHERE WITHOUT GUN OWNERSHIP THEY MIGHT NOT.

So don't be surprised when the NRA starts preaching this message after witnessing what is happening in Ukraine. And don't be surprised when nationalist groups over here start preaching that it was gun ownership that saved the Ukrainians, and at least gave them a fighting chance.
Over there it is guns against the Russians. Over here it is guns against our own government. No big news... just an observation.

Turns out none of us have duties critical to the defence of Ukraine that we're ignoring so i think we'll be okay.

Somewhat fair comment for WW1, simply not so for WW2. The sitting around and doing nothing card is handed to the UK and France for failing to take meaningful action even after the declarations of war.

Well, one “positive” to the U.S. entering WW1 late was to ensure the spread of the Spanish Flu to the world.
