Sure, why not? They only have like 50 FA-50s and a few dozen F-35s on order. Plus their existing F-16 fleet. I wonder if they've tried to buy B-21s yet.
Poland is likely worried about being both on the front-line to Russia's genocidal, expansionist agenda, and if they are prepared enough to fight alone when certain Democracies across the world are at risk of electing treasonous shits that just want to watch the world burn. Hungary is already among them, Slovakia could soon become Russia’s newest ally, Turkey is up to the highest bidder, and Trump might make a trifecta to complete the sale.

What chance does Poland have, if Ukraine falls, and NATO does not exist, with enemy nations to the north, east, and south?
Poland knows there is a calculated risk of this Genocide reaching them, and having to stand alone.
If I was Poland, I'd be working to secure nuclear weapons before the US 2024 election.

Hmm, little bit schizophrenic, IMHO. Interesting how a war in ones backyard opens the piggy bank (graph from article)

I mean the vision at least in the US is for the F-15EX to complement the F-35 by virtue of connectivity and the enormous armament load of the EX. Just kind of weird that a country the size of Poland is going "we like, please send sales materials and demo".

The Polish desire to not depend on others to come to their aid in the event of a conflict with Russia and to totally outclass them in every conceivable way is however very understandable.

Poland would have to abrogate the NPT and it would take quite a few years for them to build out a weapons program.

NPT is just a piece of paper. Ukraine also had a piece of paper.
Ned Stark remembers.

As for years, Poland might have years. Russia may want time before they cross the Dnipro. Russia may want a Republican in the white house first. And who knows how many other right wing parties in Europe they can purchase by then. Now is the time to prepare.

Quasi-tankie interfered with Ukrainian self defense. This is why the Pentagon is buying units they control fully for Ukraine now. He tries to monkey with those and the FBI is going to show up at his house with a warrant for his arrest.

He also seems not to realize that SpaceX does a lot of business with the government including launching classified payloads for the military. The company has an entire business unit geared to selling the Pentagon military services on Starlink. You're a defense contractor buddy.
You best start believing in defense contracts Mr Musk, yer in one!

Oh my! What a can of worms musky wusky has opened!

This has the potential to raise the question if he is buddies with Putin.

Poland has elected some very bad and extremist people in recent years.

Looks to me that Poland is happy to replicate the _form_ of Putinism, but while being adamantly opposed to Putin himself, and with conservative Polish nationalism in place of conservative Russian nationalism.

Right-wing conservative nationalists have never been very good at uniting across borders, fortunately for the rest of us.

I guess I don't know enough about the internal politics/culture of that part of the world, but I still find it surprising that Orban's Hungary is not only authoritarian but, unlike Poland, also quite pro-Russian. Serbia, and to some degree, Bulgaria, I can see being sympathetic to Russia, for well-known historical reasons, but I don't know how to square Orban's position with the historical record of relations between Hungary and Russia. Slovakia seems like it might be going the same way as Hungary.

Our weapons won't do. MAGA has proven America is not a reliable ally. Especially given their comments on abandoning Europe in favor of Russia.
If a nation is to be secure, they must have their own nuclear weapons program.
That is the primary lesson in us being cowards towards Ukraine. Every man for himself. Agreements, paper, is just trash.

Those things should be prohibited in an amendment to the Geneva Convention.

I was wrong about a million Ukrainians fleeing to Russia. The number is actually 1,275,315. Millions more to other countries.

Apparently these guys went to Spain and are living it up:

Do you realize how much you have drifted? Cause you gotta save face to some irrelevant dispiute on the interwebs? You've transitioned into to a full blown Goebbels-Disciple. You sure thats where you want to be?
