and i know it wasn't a 15 yarder facemask yank, but he clearly brushed it, and anyone who says they knew that wasn't a "real" facemask until the zoomed in slow motion replay is a fucking liar. the penalty is not reviewable and it clearly looked like a facemask in real time.

Can't confirm, but I read this morning that the two flags that were thrown were thrown by officials that couldn't actually see the front of Rodger's head, and the 3rd official that could didn't throw a flag.
Not quite sure how exactly you can call a facemask penalty without having a clear view of, you know, the facemask.
It's probably for the best anyway ... a win for the Lions at this point in the season is just a waste of good draft position, and it might make it look like Caldwell is actually worth keeping around.
Edit: Here's a better view of the play. He did graze the facemask, but didn't hook it, and it appears Rodgers' head jerked before it was even hit. Good acting job, I guess.
