The people I know have envied his marksmanship and self control that night.
To be able to survive the lynch mob. We could only hope to be so lucky when the rioting mob attacks. Then the media went and finished the job.

He is not guilty, "free" to be a hated pariah outcast from normal society, further hunted by the peers of those animals on the street that night and only welcomed by a terrible right wing element that will end up using him. Either way, Rittenhouse's life was not saved that night. I cannot imagine a positive outcome from where he stands now.

Dude, I have a 20-something nephew who is in every way like Rittenhouse and has been since he was a teenager. Hates immigrants and leftists, talks about how they all need to die for 'treason,' and considers himself some kind of awesome patriot and defender of law and order even though he's a high school dropout who's been booted out the army, the police cadets, the volunteer fire dept, and even fired as an EMT.
And I can tell you with certainty that when he carries he goes out looking for trouble. I have listened to this self-inflated moron brag repeatedly about his dreams of being able to murder people in 'self-defense.' He hasn't done it yet, but I expect that someday he will, just like his hero Rittenhouse.
So just STFU already.

hell yes, the only verdict that was true to the evidence. now get busy kicking the DA out of a job.
So you are saying if someone posts the desire to kill X and X shows up dead 4 months later that post isn't evidence??

That's what happened in this case thanks to the judge

OK Trumpy. The whole state sucks because you don't like verdict in this one trial. Seems pretty smart to me.
They are also trying to overthrow democracy there btw. Overall a shithole state. I do feel for the evolved people that live there, don't get me wrong.

But I decided I will start speaking the language shitty Trumpers understand.

Kenosha County voted for trump in 2016 bucking a 44 year trend of voting for the Democratic candidate. They repeated in 2020.

It's not the whole state that's doing that. In fact, it's not even the majority of the state. So the whole state can't be a shithole. Just sayin.

Apparently you can walk around with a rifle and provoke violence and murder people and get away with it. Sounds like it's creeping to shithole status to me

Eloquent way to say "both sides"...

I'm surprised it took the jury that long to determine self defense. Clearly if Kyle was raging maniac he could have mowed them down casino style. Bump stocks and all.

Well what does it matter? The left is losing and the right i.e. ALT-right are definitely winning. Welcome to America 2021 and beyond.

The kid would have gotten off eventually in either the re-trial or a re-trial followed by a mistrial. The cards were stacked for this kid to get away with murder, and thus now he moves on to becoming the great hero of the ALT-right movement. And, of the NRA. The kid will appear on every far right media outlet and on every crack-pot far right social outlet, and eventually THIS will make him a millionaire.

In the mean time, the just and righteous people remaining in America must keep on fighting for that justice. And who knows, maybe we will win in the end. Doubtful, but one never knows.

Just remember one thing. Remember the look on the face of that gunned down victim, the look in his eyes as he took his last breath. As he knew he was going to die. Remember that fear and disbelief in his eyes as he then passed away. Then, also remember the running away of Rittenhouse into the night searching for his next kill. THIS is our motivation to keep fighting against the Rittenhouse's of the future within our society, and to keep fighting against America's sick perverted love of the gun. And against the evil dictatorship from the NRA.

Know when that will stop? When black people start arming themselves and take to the streets and arresting white people. Just like Republicans in the 60s who backed gun control.
I would send money to a group organizing the responsible arming and firearm training of black folks.

I would as well.

I heard a piece on NPR last year about how a lot of guns were bought during and post BLM protests - and a big demographic purchasing those guns and unevenly represented were African Americans. They started to realize that they just may be on their own out there, right wingers are fucking racist loons, and they will potentially have to defend themselves from our modern day KKK, the Trumpie party.

Crazy country we live in. Imagine how the rest of the world sees us right now.

I will never set foot on American soil.

Seems like even just looking someone the wrong way gets you shot these days.

Honestly i wouldn't feel safe visiting with such relaxed gun laws.

Agreed. The reality is that Wisconsin is a coin-flip state, and Joe Biden doesn't win last November if the Rust Belt hadn't flipped back closer to historical norms. But it was a lot closer in WI/PA/MI than it used to be prior to Trumpism, because Dems have a very big problem connecting with non college-educated whites.

There are significant pockets of conservative voters in pretty much every blue state; all 50 states can't be shitholes.

Looks I was so wrong and not agree with it. Was hoping for at least 2nd degree, but the jurors have seen/heard some of the evidence and have decided on a verdict.
Hopefully people will learn from this (right?) and someone doesn't decide to take justice in their own hands. :grimacing:

Can the families sue Rittenhouse for the deaths he caused?
