Holy shit the guy is in a coma? I was laughing at the video until I read that. I hope that cop gets absolutely shafted in court :|

Even if he was involved in an assault, excessive force much? It's not like the guy tried to run or anything.

I'll try to get in before them: a disgrace to the force, he should be kicked out and then charged.

Wrong guy? Or was it the right guy with way too much excessive force?

He'll pay....

In defense of the cop, he got really unlucky to land the guy in a coma. He had to hit the wall just right and land awkwardly like that.

But definitely excessive, fire him, etc. etc.

That's no defense at all, why did he have to shove him.

Firing squad, stat! That's not how you do your job, and an innocent is now in coma. That guy is going to probably get fired and sued.

Yes. When they are out of uniform and/or you have a reasonable reason to believe you are being attacked by somebody who isn't an officer.

Regardless of whether or not the officer thought the person was a suspect in an assault, that's excessive force. Absolutely no need to body-check the guy into the wall.
